Been reading the official PSV fans forum.

It’s amazing how basically every page just talks about how much money they should get for him. Ever since 2017.

It just shows how Dutch club football works now. It’s their only way to survive. Produce talent and sell them on.

Quite sad, really.

Tier 1:

PSV and Spurs agree on Bergwijn

Steven Bergwijn (22) is leaving for Tottenham Hotspur. All parties agreed an agreement in principle on the transition of the international on Monday evening, sources around the English club report. The attacker provides PSV with an amount of more than thirty million euros.

Bergwijn thus ends up under the wings of manager José Mourinho at a top club in the Premier League. Even though last year's Champions League finalist is currently in sixth place.

For Bergwijn, a number of turbulent days come to an end with his final transfer, which did not leave him unmoved. He already announced that on Sunday through his Instagram account. On Sunday afternoon, after the announcement of an impending sale, the international was the Kop van Jut with a part of the PSV supporters within a few hours. He thought he had refused to play for the club in the FC Twente match (1-1). The player made it clear from his hotel himself in clear terms that he had done everything 'according to plan'. There has been consultation and he has neatly called his trainer. He, in turn, was in close contact with the PSV leadership. "I had permission from Ernest Faber not to play."

Bergwijn, since his thirteenth player of PSV, says that the club always stays in his heart, but that he now wants to make a big step. That has now definitely become the transfer to London, to the club of José Mourinho. His agent Fulco van Kooperen, who is supervising the Orange International along with his son Nathan, already had a good interview last week with Mourinho and Spurs chairman Daniel Levy. That confirmed sources around the English club.

The only 22-year-old Bergwijn now supplies PSV with tens of millions of euros. Money that the people of Eindhoven desperately need in a season without Champions League football. Given the current sporting problems, there is a real chance that there will be no ticket for the Champions League in the coming season.

Bergwijn himself has always devoted 100% to PSV and he emphasized that on Sunday evening. He didn't make a war when the Spanish Seville wanted to enlist him last summer, and there was interest from Ajax. He even extended his contract until mid-2023. The star player did not agree with the resignation of trainer Mark van Bommel mid-December, but then also remained on the plain in the interest of the club and accepted his role as an employee .

In 2011, the multifunctional attacker made the switch from the Ajax youth academy to PSV. Bergwijn made his debut in the Eredivisie on 10 May 2015 in a home game against Heracles Almelo. This season he was good for five goals and ten assists in sixteen league matches. He became champion three times with PSV and once won the Johan Cruijff Scale.

Looks like its a done deal according to them

What kind of figures are they quoting?

TBF it's been like that since Johan Cruijff was at Ajax, and all Dutch club fans realise it

They also mention how they should try to keep him until the summer, in case he has an excellent Euros - as his price would go up.

Back in the summer some stated they wanted €40m+ but compared him to Lozano, saying he should be on par.

Recent comments state how he has been poor this season, but the team is in disarray and he has been playing as a striker.
If poor is 5 goals and 10 assists after 16 games I'll take average

Backed up by PSV's (alleged) #1 source:

Translated: Bergwijn quickly goes to Tottenham and PSV still hopes for a left back. Transfer of more than 30 million euros quickly becomes final.

Hes not been poor this season 5 goals 10 ten assists so far in a team in complete disarray and again losing their manager Van bommel. His dribbles, take on, chances created and shots also huge part of his game

I wouldn’t overreact to this. Despite Ajax being the bigger brand name, PSV have been every bit their equal in the Eredivisie in the 21st century. They’ve won more league titles including 3 of the last 5 and never finished worse than fourth. But this year they’ve had a bit of a season from hell and are currently sitting in 5th.

I’d imagine their fans are quite angry at the moment. It’d be a bit like reading our message boards at the moment and seeing some posters complaining about Son. People tend to overreact a bit when the team isn’t playing well, we should know that better than anyone. Bergwijn is having a very solid season as noted above.

Well I guess the only question now is what number he will wear? Will he take the cursed No.9, will he take Eriksen's 23? Or will it be a rubbish number nobody cares about like 36?

Dutch winger, he'll obviously take #14. Which also have a good Spurs tradition after Ginola and Modric

Just over £26m if that’s accurate. Incredible value.
Yep, fantastic value on all of transfers this year. Ndombele, Lo Celso, Sessegnon, now Bergwijn you could see all of them being worth easily twice that in 2 years time. Now just have to see if Levy will roll out the check book another maybe 4 or 5 times this summer.
