Successful Passes

Huddlestone 934(3rd highest in the Premier League)

Jenas 464(44th Highest)

Also The Hudd has made a total of 1195 passes the third highest in the premier league, although Sky Sports say 1135 79% Accuracy.

Oh and just a quickee

Dawson 582 passes in total 446 Successfull quite a successfull "Hoofer" of the ball really

And yes Jenas has played less and you have to look at the opposition and blah blah fucking blah. But if you don't like those STATS then don't use the fucking things to try and fuel your opinion of players

jenas could play upfront and fail to have a single shot on goal

High quality willy waving there Damo but as there isn't really any JJ stats in there and no comparative percentage stats I'm not entirely sure what this proves.

But I think if we put everything back in our trousers for just a second we should all be able to see that Hudd and JJ offer different things and are both useful players in the squad. Hudd offers more guile and is useful at home where he's going to get alot of space. Away from home we may need the energy and directness of JJ.

It really isn't a 100% either/or situation

Sorry

When there isn't a stat for Jenas i should have pointed out the Telegraph only shows you the top fifty players in each catergory, so i guess it shows Jenas(although he's not played as many games) is quite dump to be honest.

that's probably why he's nowhere to be seen in most of them stats as they're not percentages but numbers accumulated through playing

quite a sad thread tbh

It doesn't really though does it? If he hasn't played he's hardly likely to be up there.

Can you not accept that there are times when JJ is much more suited to a game than Hudd? Don't get me wrong I think this season Hudd has outperformed JJ and we looked better with him in the team last night.

But when we go away to Bolton etc I'd much prefer us to have JJ in the side because the work he does defensively is crucial plus he's more versatile and therefore a useful squad member.

It's the same as saying that Keane is shit because Defoe has played more this season. It simply isn't true.

Very sad indeed, especially if you're trying to "big up" Jenas

But The Hudds has only made five less tackles than Wilson and look at it which you want, he's won more. Add that to the fact we have been largely tight at our end of the pitch suggests Huddlestone can actually be as versatile but maybe not as Headless chicken type of guy?

He won a lovely 50/50 challenge last night before clipping a wondefull ball into Modric not sure Jenas actually ever does that type of thing.

Anyway i posted the stats not really for any other reason than for people(who fucking spout off about them) to now ignore them or try and twist or how they wish.

Sat in my jammies and dressing gown too while i sorted all that lot out

Have i missed something?

Lets look at it another, instead of reading into it and crying about how poor Jenas is.

Look at it this way, it might make you feel better.

It shows that Huddlestone is up there with the top midfielders in the premiership.

You should be happy that a Tottenham player is doing so well.

Why the crying like a lil girly and getting all stroppy with me, time of the month?

Huddlestone does more closing down and defensive work then he is given credit for. Whenever he plays we have a better shape about ourselves as well.

pointless discussion - as talkshowhost says they both bring something different to the squad. At present Hudd gets picked, if his form dips then JJ will. Personally I would prefer it if we could get someone better than either, but no one is available so we shall stick with these two.

I'm really impressed that you managed that big post, but unfortunately it's all meaningless bollocks.

I'll explain it for you.

----------------------Jenas-----------Hudd

Minutes played-------885------------1834

total passes -----------526-------------1195

Accurate ---------------464-----------934

Success rate -----------88%-----------77%

minutes per pass --------1.91------------1.96

So when Jenas is on the pitch, he makes more passes per minute than Huddlestone and his passes reach their target more often than Huddlestone.

Here's another gem of wisdom for you, Dawson makes mistakes. Often they are big flapping gash type mistakes. The stats for them is often in the goals against column. The rest of the time he's a fucking trooper.

I've already had a warning from the mods about what I say to you, fuck knows why, but not wanting to get my fourth and possibly long term ban I need to chose my words carefully.

Do you think it would be possible for you to discuss something like a grown up, or manage a coherent argument without the silly fucking name calling that's going to get us both chucked off here.

I generally feel the same when reading your drivel, but hey.

Anyhow one very simple question that requires a one word answer. A "yes" or a "no".

Palacios is a definate starter when fit.

Now is it your arguement that if Redknapp had played Jenas in the games The Hudd played, do you think we would be in a better situation than we are? And possibly played better attacking football??
