Thats exactly why we may have to move him, if we have the chance. Just for a moment, think what happens if Davies suffered a 2 month injury ? Can we rely on Rose ? Unfortunately no is the answer. We have to see how he gets on till summer. If he keeps having these issues, club has to move him on and get someone like Sessegnon.

Toby's injury is probably every bit as bad as Rose's but I don't hear anybody questioning whether we can rely on him.

I think the majority say let Vorm go and get an English trained keeper because at the moment we have three foreign keepers and it causes unnecessary problems in our squad make up for CL and PL.

No 4 : Rose: I would sell Rose, if we had the chance. And buy Sessegnon ofcourse. While Sessegnon plays more forward nowadays, I think we are covered in LB/LWB position with Davies, Rose & Jan (worst case).

That's a different matter altogether, if he is constantly Injured all season then we will probably have to loom for a new LB, at the moment he's getting back to full fitness so it's premature to predict anything right now.

Thats because he hasn't yet gone into a relapse yet like Rose with his knee injury...And Rose been out for more than a year now. 3 months out once is no way comparable to what Rose is going through.

I am more worried about Winksy than Toby situation

No emotional attatchment from me. Just couldn't fathom where the "form" part of your post manifested from.

Poor beggar not had anytime to impress since return. However, now you have added between now and summer regarding form judgement, I feel somewhat more relaxed and able to move on happy in the knowledge that you and I have reached an amicable conclusion to this debate.

My wish is to see Rose back playing full tilt without injury concerns. Because last thing we need is lose Davies and have no Left Back in squad to play week in week out. For 2 players IMO, next 5 month is crucial - Lamela & Rose for different reasons. While they prove their form & fitness in this period , as a club, we need to start planning now for a what if scenario.

Son, Lamela, Ali, Moura, Eriksen is an excellent five one or two injuries and we’d still be looking a little light, I don’t see how Lamela will be sold.

We’ve had Toby, Rose, Lamela, Dembele, Wanyama out this season all starting 11 players,

Really don’t envisage selling but probably one or two more in.

Just for argument’s sake, let’s pretend for a moment that Kane demands to go to Real in the summer. What’s our plan?

I’m assuming it would be £250m.

It’s really hard to think of a striker that could fill the massive hole, and would be gettable. Immediately I’m drawn to to Timo Werner or Andrea Belotti. Different strikers, but the right age to invest in.

Werner has pace to burn, and Belotti is more of a like for like replacement for Kane. Strong, a handful, great in the air, but technically good too.

Belotti has 100m euro release clause too, although I’m sure Torino may be tempted for a little less.

If Werner was not gettable I’d probably go big on Belotti, try to get him for 85m, and spend the rest of the cash on one of Fekir or Bailey, and Sessegnon.

Oh, before anyone gets their pants in a twist, this is just a little “what if” cos I’m bored while the kids are watching My Little Pony. I very much hope and believe Kane will commit to us. But it’s something that Steve Hitchin has to be thinking about too, otherwise, quite frankly, he’d be negligent.

I'd like two signings to be made and for them to be in place for start of pre-season training if possible (almost impossible in a World Cup year. I think extending contracts of existing players (and manager!) is more important than new signings, but that at least one new player is needed to freshen things up.
