If Dyer is fit and raring I would like to see him back at DM. We seem to be missing that protection of a good DM that we had a few seasons back when he was in some decent form.

We are conceding far too many goals right now.
We signed Kieron Dyer?

If Aurier & Rose are fit then they have to come back in. I'd drop Eriksen & play Dele & I'd drop Vert's because his defending for the Pen was naïve at best. Plus Poch needs to decide whether Winks has run himself into the grd, so he might rest him for this game.

'cute'? Why does it have to come to that though?

Sick of the pussy footing around Sony. He's a well paid professional who plays for a bloody good team and if that's not enough motivation than putting yourself in the shop window by playing 101% should be. Get the fuck out there and play, man!

Argh... I was really sanguine last night now I'm just pissed off. Gonna be another season of being mercurial and hoping the quality we have gets us over the line.

Becasus we look pretty toothless when he doesn't start.

Give him a rocket and tell him he's doing himself no favours if he wants to attract Europe's elite clubs.

But first and foremost if he wants to be picked he's got to perform and reputation ain't going to cut it.

I think Sanchez needs to play centre back with Toby. Jan has been off the pace in last two games and we have to deal with their only real goal threat in Jamie Vardy.

Sitting Eriksen might not be a popular decision, but for this game it might be best for him and the players. I think it sends the wrong message to Christian and the other lads trotting him out there after what was an atrocious display today. It was clearly him and a few others Poch was referring to after the game, with regards to disrespecting his tactics and not having the right mental attitude. They need to see that players are rewarded for incompetence and indifference. He also needs to know it wasn’t good enough.

Maybe that will fire him up and get the others to focus. Or not. Time will tell.

For what it’s worth, I think Poch needs to try something different this weekend.

Didnt help Poch dropping him, Sanchez worries me wherever he plays currently. Back line is a mess

This is a tough fixture for Spurs. Leicester has had the week off. On the other hand, the squad (or most of it) has travelled mid week & played in the Athens heat, which must be quite draining. Let's hope that Pochetino's words have a galvanizing effect on the team after last night's match. IMHO- that wasn't the worse performance, but to lose a 0-2 lead in the way that they did was a shame. Tomorrow is a chance to put that right & hold onto that 3rd place spot in the table. COYS!

Here's my team for Saturday (4-2-3-1)

--------Lloris---------
Aurier Toby Jan Rose
Sissoko Winks
Lamela Eriksen Sonny
Kane
subs: Gazza Sanchez Davies Moura Dier N'Dombele KWP

Lloris

Aurier - Toby - Jan - Rose

Dier - Ndombele

Lamela - Alli - Son

Kane

Harsh on Winks however I’d like to integrate Dier back into the team and see how Ndombele plays with a true DM next to him. Plus it would also allow both Rose and Aurier to get high up the pitch as Dier will cover by dropping back and making a 3 in midfield.

I prefer Sissoko coming off the bench and running at tired opponents. Eriksen v Olympiakos was worthy of being dropped for this one unless he was unwell. Ndombele needs to be racking up the minutes on the pitch IMO and if Dier is fit I'd like to see him back in the DM/CB hybrid role. I'd go

Lloris
Aurier
Toby
Vertonghen
Rose

Ndombele
Dier
Winks

Dele (just edges out Moura)
Kane
Son

Subs; Gazza, KWP, Sanchez, Sissoko, Eriksen, Moura, Lamela.

Drop eriksen, ndombele looked shattered so bring him on 2nd half, ease Dele back in.

Tell lamela and son to stick wide, we need width in our attacking play not from our defenders.

Our defence needs protecting and our midfield has been over run of late (palace aside ) so bring dier into the mix and make that his job from a few seasons ago.
And also tell Kane to be our target man to play into and feed the balls out to our wide players rather than dropping deep to be the go to man from defence

Exactly the team is like to see, easing Ndombele and Dele back in as subs too. We’re conceding too many chances, we need Dier/Wanyama/Skipp in there to help out - I’d go with Dier as first choice out of those too.

We need Eriksen for this. But the message should be clear, if he underperforms again he's out of the team and it's up to him to regain his spot.

If Poch is cute with this he could use to our advantage, might see a top drawer performance from Eriksen on Saturday.
i dont think he should start play players who want to play for spurs

Dele, Eriksen, Jan and Lamela on the bench. Sissoko, Winks and Ndom in midfield with Son and Moura buzzing about off Harry.
Aurier and Rose back in, with Sanchez or maybe even Davies starting alongside Toby.
Granted Ndom still looks a bit off the pace but let’s get him playing and up to speed. Plenty of pace, aggression and intensity in that side. Leicester will come out and go for it, no doubt. I can’t watch people ambling about, gifting possession away when we have it and more importantly, poor performances need to stop being rewarded.

The bench gives us flexibility too...in theory anyway
