Completely agree. I think we need it to beef up our central midfield as we are so exposed at the back as Sissoko and Winks don't keep shape. Skipp in front with the instruction to keep his position, Lo Celso and Ndombele just in front with Son, Dele and Kane up top.
Not 100% convinced in Skipp being in the first 11 if i'm being honest, but everything else I agree on.

Gazza

Aurier Sanchez Toby Sessegeon

N’dombele Sissoko

Son Alli Lo Celso

Kane

If not

Gazzaniga

Foyth Sanchez Toby Sessegeon

N’dombele Dier

Moura Alli Son

Kane

Foyth could be utilised as a centre back so Sessegeon can fly forward

It's Burnley. He wont be up against de Bruyne and Silva. With two others next to him he should be fine.

When will people realise from games like today a combo of ndombele and lo celso just will not work. as poor as he is, Dier will have to play every game this season.

gazza
aurier toby jan rose
dier ndombele
lucas/lo celso dele son
kane

Well, he will have to play every game unless we sign in Jan. Unfortuantely Sanchez so poor again, 8 goals in 4 games is not good enough for him or toby, need to go back to Toby and Jan. no other option but Rose at left back, shame Davies is injured considering how terrible Rose has been.

Two things to factor in:

1) Burnley's only real threats are McNeil on the left and Barnes up top (assuming Gudmondsson is out, which I believe he is). So in this game I'd play Foyth in that RB/CB role v McNeil and play with Rose as the attacking fullback (not opposed to giving Sess a try there). Aurier could use a rest anyways.

2) We have a meaningless UCL game midweek so I think this league match is the priority. With that, I'd wait til the Bayern match to try some of the names mentioned here as starters (GLC, Skipp, etc).

Gazza
Foyth - Toby - Verts - Rose
Ndombele - Dier
Lucas - Dele - Son
Kane

Burnley will sit deep. Lucas will have no space to attack so he will be a passenger in this game.

Me neither if I am honest but winks dier and sissoko have shown that they are not able to play that position. I did forget about Wanyama......

Anything that has Sessegnon playing wide forward instead of Lucas

maybe try the opposite side of pitch for what Jose has been doing with one attacking full back and 3 sit?

So

Gazza

Foyth Toby Jan Sessegnon

Dier Ndombele

Son Dele GLC

Kane

Allow Sessegnon to bomb forward with the other 3 defenders tucking in, especially Jan who is naturally on that side. Sonny having the freedom of the wing as he has enjoyed under Jose (barring United game) ?

I think Kane needs to be dropped (yes I said it )
Dropped lol no chance. He could do with a rest definitely. Jose would probably have liked to against West Ham and Bournmeouth after 60 odd but spurs are spurs and make everything dififcult!

Good idea because it gets foyth in too, but he's already said sess isn't ready to be a left back yet so can't see it, even though I know what you mean.

This is exactly what I want to see. Gio and Ndombele have to start. Time for Jose to stop playing the players that "know the league". Players are looking burnt out and the squad just seems off balanced. I would even be tempted to put in Sess.

It's said that Mourinho is after a backup striker, that's probably so that he can rest Kane more.

Otherwise we could simply play Son up top and get Sess on the left wing.

You can’t play with four forwards and not have Dier in the team. Anyone suggesting Skipp is the answer cannot have seen him play. Moura out for Lo Celso or Eriksen, even though Moura is due one of his “one in four” good games. Sissoko has to go too, probably for Winks. Sanchez will probably have to play and cover for when Aurier goes walkabout (Toby’s just too slow). Hope and pray that Burnley don’t park the bus.
