Kane doesn't solely rely on service, he makes his own chances and he creates for others. The, only thing Son has over Kane is pace but if we're not getting the ball forward quick enough then that pace becomes useless.

Also you said that Burnley defenders are big and strong, so who's going to hold up the ball when it's played into them, that is Kane's role and does it very well, Son not so well.

That's simply not true, Son is much at dribbling and creating for others (both selfish but Son is second in assists in the league behind De Bruyne) and Son can score out of nothing more often. Having someone to hold up the ball is a fair point but I hope we don't go for long balls vs them, we should have possession 70% of the time and we can pass on the ground. Quick passing is an issue for sure but at least we would have more guys who can beat defender 1v1, depending on who starts on LW instead of Son at least.

Yes because when people mention that Moura or Alli (last season) need/ed to be dropped that can only mean sending them to Southend.
Harry has not been shit this season, our team on the whole has been poor

How many goals has Harry scored this season for us in the league, CL and England?? You do the maths and then come back to me that he has been.... In your words... SHIT. this season....

Harry is not in top form but his stats still stack up ,

Well if ever play Red Star or Montenegro again I would definitely start him. He has 7 goals in the league, one assist and very little defensive work so far. Nobody called him shit, just his form. And he looks tired and probably needs rest.

Burnley will play a 4-4-2 with their big forwards, Barnes and Woods, trying to win / hold up the long balls and create mayhem with their physicality as well as try to win as many free kicks and corners as possible.

With this in mind, I reckon Jose might return Dier to the line up for his aerial prowess and physical strength, also allowing Dier to drop into the 3 man CB tactical formation when attacking. He might also drop Sanchez as Burnley doesnt have much pace, and Sanchez tends to struggle with physical forwards. Whereas Aurier as the right attacking worked to certain extent, it was obvious and imbalanced and for that, I think he might reintroduce Rose in the starting xi.

Gazza
Aurier Toby Verts Rose
Dier Ndombele
GLC Dele Son
Kane

Reckon the midfield changes (Winks Sissoko Lucas) are made not just due to rotation or tactics but for their failures against Utd.

Subs: Whiteman, Foyth, Sessegnon, Winks, Sissoko, Lucas, Skipp

Reckon Sess and Skipp might get some minutes here, if not, against Bayern, especially if we are comfortably leading into the last 20 mins, to inject some energy and keeps players on their toes after conceding in the last 20 mins last 2 games prior to Utd.

Oops. I totally forgot about Eriksen. Who will be on the bench again, for sure. Skipp or Sess missing out then.

Oh yeah my mistake and dribbling as well which is interesting you bring that up because players with good dribbling ability normally play on the wing or as wide forwards so pretty pointless playing him up front, in the context of this debate when would Son have the chance to utilise his dribbling ability playing as a striker, tell me what other team in world football plays a wide forward as a striker particulay when then have a much better all round player in that position?

Hold up play isn't about long balls mate, you know when the ball is passed along to the strikers feet they can hold the ball up as well. also never in a million years is Son better at creating than Kane are you off your head?

Watch this video below...sorry but Son doesn't have the ability to do these things, that's just the plain truth...I've never had to highlight this to a fellow Spurs fan, it's strange I'm having to point this out to you.

Did you not watch any matches last season? Or even 2 seasons ago when Kane was injured? Best football last year was with Son in CF position. So in context of the debate watch any match last season with Son there and see how good he was and how well we played as a team. Obviously healthy, rested and in-form Kane is better, especially one from two seasons ago but that's not really the case right now. You can argue that Son is also tired and needs rest I guess.

Last season we won more with Kane in the team compared him not in the team, we didn't play well for the majority of matches with or without him regardless. Our best matches last season were Everton away, Chelsea at home, Man Utd at home, Bournemouth at home...Kane played in all 4 matches.

Two seasons ago I agree we did look better but the very fact that you have to go back 2 seasons tells you how out of date this argument is, we have a different manager now and we are in very different circumstances, we play more direct under Jose and with less possession and build up play, we play a mixture of short, medium and long passes up to the striker which doesn't take advantage of Son's ability anyway.

And hopefully Mourinho adapts vs opposition because that won't work every time, like at United or vs Burnley who will sit deep and be very happy if we keep sending long balls forward for Kane. And he should really find a way for both to be at their best, if he won't take advantage of Son's ability we won't have much success.

He is, he's playing Son in his rightful position, as a wide forward/winger.

I think we just need to let Mourinho get on with it, pretty sure he knows what he's doing :D

If Sissoko scores in two home matches in a row, then its pretty obvious that the world will end on Sunday!

We need Sessegnon on the bench to have something else to change the game, especially for more pace and energy. If it's 2-3 slow midfielders sitting there, then it's unlikely to have any impact should we need to score.

Please no Winks or Lucas. Would be spiffing if we could get a start for GLC but I can’t see this happening any time soon other than against Bayern with a load of other fringe players which will do absolutely nothing for his confidence as well likely get hammered again.

The idea that Kane should not play is just not on 99% of spurs supporters agenda and for me he is the first name on the team sheet.
Surely someone with the view of leaving Kane out of the starting eleven must be a supporter of some other club .
If this view was prevalent if I was Kane I would be saying " F you lot get me out of this club "
I hope and pray that this view on Kane is just some nutter or a fan from another club trying to stir things up .

I think the ' rest 'will be not travelling to Munich

Would love Mourinho to start pushing the boat out a bit. Give GLC and Ndombele free rein in a CM3 with Dier holding (would prefer Skipp but not happening)

Just pray Sissoko (useless at home against deep block teams) isn’t playing and Moura also deserves benching after an anonymous few games.

Let’s see your bag of tricks Jose.

nonsense.

look at the bigger picture, include CL games and its 13 goals in 19 games.

Take that away We are qualified in the CL.

In the premier league we are 9 points off 4th we need his goals. He has scored 5 open play goals , that’s woeful at this stage for a world class forward , his goal stats have declined and he is playing to deep
