So many options, one thing I really would like to see is Kane playing a bit deeper so he is fully in the game as much as possible.

Who knows what the right thing to do is, Liverpool will trouble us regardless, their front line is exceptional. I do think however their central midfielders are the weakest part of the team. In the second half of the league game last season we dominated them and to a certain degree in the CL final we also had some level of control.

We can hurt them I’m sure of that.

If Eriksen starts against pool ahead of Lamela or even Lucas then I'll lose all my hope with Poch.

Gazzaniga
Aurier Sanchez Vertonghen Davies
Dier Sissoko
Lucas NDombele Son
Kane

Honestly I'd just totally park the bus. Keep Davies and aurier totally flat, and look to hit Robinson and Trent on the counter through NDombeles passing to son and Lucas.

Can return to tonight's team and style at Everton and beyond
Ndombele when he's in that CAM position looks dangerous as fuck, literally every time he found a dangerous pass for the runners. Nice lineup.

I know it's not our style normally, but we should try to do what Utd did to Pool at times. Boring defensive football and then a quick counter. High press is just playing into their hands.

Bit harsh on Ndombele but wouldnt be gutted if he replaced Sissoko.
I'd like to see Dier back in front of that defence.
I think it'll be Ndombele and Sissoko and hope no other changes.
Dont get fkin clever Poch.

We've been watching different versions of Rose in that case. He's been awful IMO.

Has to be Davies
Not going to lie he has been shite been saying he should be dropped a lot . Davies played well last night and will have gained confidence from it, Liverpool are a different animal.Hope I am talking out my arse and he plays a blinder but not sure.

Davies’ defensive positioning is far better than Rose’s.
I think he needs to not commit himself too far forward to counter the pace and our wingers can hopefully pin back their fullbacks.

If poch goes back to the diamond to put 3 in the middle he’s tactically clueless.

id play the same team, or potentially bring in Lucas for dele and push lamela centre. This would only work if son and Lucas have strict instructions to stay wide and keep the fullbacks on their back foot though. Lamela would also have to be disciplined in the centre when dropping

I think he’ll drop lamela and ndombele though to bring in dier and winks ?

I have visions of Danny giving away a penalty if he starts, the way he's currently playing.

The blue print for this has to be the CL final. We dominated the ball for 90 minutes and just didn't take our chances. Tactically its always going to be their full backs that they try to use to hurt us. Hopefully we can pin them back like we did in Madrid.

Same starting XI as last night should allow us to do that.
