How some of you don't even have Kane in their 18 Man squad is hilarious. He has been one of our best players over the summer and had a big Impact in the last 2 games. Why are you leaving him out altogether?

Wow soldado scores a goal and suddenly we should drop Adebayor who was our best striker by far last season and also scored a cracking goal in his pre-season game at the lane and put in a good shift against west ham.

Some of you guys make me fucking head hurt sometimes lol.
It's not just about scoring goals, Soldado links the attack better, making the front 4 a better team, but also, Lamela plays better with Soldado in front. Also, and IMO most importantly, against West Ham, Ade's failure to press the defender on the ball (not sure if it was a fitness issue), let down our whole pressing game. The amount of times Lamela, Eriksen & Lennon closed down the passing options only for Ade to jog away from the player on the ball (forcing the other 3 to retreat) was infuriating and it allowed the person in possession to have all of the time in the world to play a long pass, or pass to someone in midfield.

Looks about right for me based on pre-season and the two games so far.

Only toss up for me is up front. Would be tempted to go with Soldado to see if the link up with Lamela carries over to the PL but despite the great volley today, I'm still not convinced he is anywhere near his clinical best (in terms of finishing rather than general play)...

I'd like to see Ceballos given some game time either in the league or in the cups to see if he can make it with us. Can't see that he is any worse than Lennon.

Exactly. It's amazing what currency speed holds for a player. Lennon has lived off of his turbo boost for years now without any real product emanating from it.

The fact that he has not been included in the EL squad, means that unless several of the ove 21 players are sold (net of any incomings) that Ceballos will not be included in the 25 man squad, so the chances of that are, I would suggest, slim right now.

There have been comments on here previously that soldado doesn't play so well up top on his own and Adebayor is better as a lone front man.

Adebayor for me every time, it just seems to me people in here want any excuse to drop Adebayor if he doesn't score and put in an awesome performance every game.
