Actually think we'll play much better against a better team/rival. Our best performance since the restart was probably United and we do at least look defensively organised (ish).

Realistically the best hope is for a solid mid block and hit them on the counter - reality is that we'll probably lose 1 or 2-0 due to a couple of individual errors.

Lloris
Aurier Toby Sanchez Davies
Winks
Bergwijn Ndombele Lo Celso Son
Kane

We all know it’s going to be the same shit whoever plays so what’s the point, Jose has his favourites as always

Lloris
Aurier Kane Toby Davies
Winks Ndombele
Lamela Dele Lo Celso
Son

‘’important to start Kane in the position where he has spent most of his time the last few games.

GK - Lloris (One of our few positives under Jose)
LB - Cirkin (Can't be any worse than Davies)
CB - Sanchez (Need pace against Arsenal)
CB - Toby (Has done ok)
DR - Aurier (Only option)
DM - Skipp (Best DM in our squad)
MC - GLC (Our most effective midfielder)
MC - Ndombele (Has to start)
LF - Sessegnon (Give him a chance)
CF - Kane - (Needs service)
RF - Bergwijn - (Give him a run of games)

Call me daft call me crazy. Doh me all you like! But I'd play Vertonghen as the holding midfielder for now. He's done it before, but I know I know that will never happen.

Lloris

Aurier Sanchez Vertonghen Alderweireld Davies

Sissoko Winks Gelson

Lo Celso

Kane
As many defenders as possible.

Our most defensive midfielders possible.

Lo Celso on the pitch but instructed not to try anything fancy like actually getting the ball.

Ping it up to the big-man....Kane.

Done. £15m please.

Well the good news is when the arsenal fans pipe up about winning the first NLD at the new stadium that we can point out the ladies teams already played there and accuse them of misogyny so that's good.

Bearing in mind how Arsenal play, I think we need to go to a back three.
—————lloris———-
——Dave Toby Davies —-
Sissoko Winks Ndombele Sess
——Lo Celso——-Son
————-Kane————-

Got to keep it tight, and hit on the break
Can’t decide between Sissoko or Aurier at RWB, I don’t really want either of them there.
Wouldn’t be upset if Cirkin started instead of Sessegnon if his form in training merits it.
Ive only gone for Winks because of the NLD boost homegrown players tend to get.
If we have any chance against that lot, it’s by highlighting their weaknesses in defence, especially on the turn. We should be targeting the like of Luiz and Xhaka who dive in and try to pull back.
All things considered, I’d take a draw right now. Which means we’ll concede a last minute equaliser after dominating the game.

I agree with this but I'd like to see Lucas at RWB. Am going to keep posting this team in every match thread until Mourinho plays it, or at least until we start creating chances.

I get your point, but I do find that Lucas is a bit of a tactical liability (he’s not the only one).
He does at least possess some of the physical attributes to play there ( good pace, great leap, dribbler- not sure about him in defence, doubling up on Aubameyang for example.)
I’m not a fan of a back three in general (unless it’s a flexible switch like when dier dropped in), but in this game I think we need it.
