I agree with this. Subs depends on who is fit and if we secure any signings by tomorow.

Is Defoe injured at the moment? Also I think its more likely we play Dembele as a No.10 in a 4-2-3-1 not that it matters much.

Hopefully Kaboul, Sandro & Holtby, Lennon & Defoe will all get to pick up fitness v Tbisi in the 2nd leg.

Totally agree with that, but Jan is possibly a doubt I guess.

The main thing is that it HAS to be Townsend over Lennon, he has earned is shot.

So nice to see someone try to pick out a player today when crossing the ball (Chadli too), love Lemons but he still can't cross and he rarely scores, perfect last 30 mins man for us in my opinion, when the opposition legs are tired then run them ragged with Aaron

Not sure i would pick those subs.
Wouldn't pick Sandro, and give him a start next Thursday or at least on the bench. Looking unlikely that we will get Willian and Lamela done for the weekend. They wont get much if any training time with the squad if we do get them

This is very likely as Townsend has also played on Monday for the u21s so may not be fresh enough to start.

Siggy has started both games so far this season and not shown enough. I was championing him for a big season but he's been poor so far and needs to sort himself out.

Lennon has become too safe, playing like he has a defence of Chimbonda, Gardner, Davenport and Lee behind him. Townsend has earned a start.

I'd love to see Carroll in alongside 2 of Dembele, Capoue and Paulinho but I think we'll see those three all play together with Carroll on the bench.

Kaboul isn't ready for another full game after Tbilisi.

I don't think the Willian, Lamela deals will be done in time. Chadli to take set pieces.

I'd be tempted to play Carroll in place of Dembele who looks nice on the ball but has little final product; nothing more than a sideway dribbler.
