My attempt to make a team that might collectively put a shift in.

I’d like to see:
Gazza
Foyth Sanchez Tanganga Sessegnon
Skip
Sissoko loCelso
Lamela Kane Moura

fed up with who/what we’ve seen already this season, now is a perfect opportunity to put some faith in others.. If LoCelso isn’t yet, then Winks. If Sess isn’t fit, then Davies. I’d like to get Dele on the pitch, but I think some attacking width is important, and therefore kind of rules him out, unless he plays in the midfield three.

Time for a true shake up...

Sissoko
Sanchez
Toby
Verts

Foyth
Winks

Lamela
Ndombele
Lo Celso

Kane

I don’t see anything wrong with giving Foyth go as a dm. He certainly has the ball skills and attributes to play in that role. And at this rate, how much worse can he be than Wanyama, Dier, Winks and Sissoko in that DM role.

As for the AM three... we need to get control of games again. All three are capable of pressing and maintaining possession.

I think we should stick with Sissoko at RB until Jan. And bring Sanchez back into the fold. As for Verts, why not LB? He’s done well there in the past.

Fuck it. At this rate I have no idea what may work,

Well, it’s just shifting the deckchairs around on the Titanic, isn’t it? Shuffling about players who don’t really want to be there and players who aren’t good enough, experienced enough, or injured/ coming back from injury. One minute Dier is into people’s team, the next out when we all remember how mediocre he’s been. This bad form is likely to drag on until we bring in enough new high quality players to tip the balance back to the positive. A new manager might make a short term difference, but like Solskjaer at United, they will all slip back into their bad ways after a few weeks most likely.
Let’s get four or five out in January and bring in two or three talented new faces to try to lift things a bit. If not, we’re just going to continue like this till the end of the season, finish ninth or tenth, and Poch will go to another job. Eddie Howe or Gareth Southgate would not get a tune out of this squad either.
It might even take us selling Kane to generate enough funds to make a difference, a la Coutinho.

Unless this has massively changed, along with our update this week that he’s entered the final stages of rehab with Sess, it suggest to me that we could see him the month. This game might be early, if so then Liverpool shouldn’t be unrealistic.

Either way, clearly caveated in my post that if injured, play Winks.

We need to change things up and I think Foyth would do better as a DM then as a full back. Once Sess and Lo Celso are fully fit then I would start them both, but It will take them both time. Dier as well, who was horrific yesterday, is obvs very much lacking match fitness and I think he should be given time from the bench to see if he get up to speed. Lucas has to start IMO.

Too early to predict formation. Have to wait when all players are back in one piece after the int break.

Who would you like to see?
A proven winner, realistically that would probably be Mourinho until the end of the season to see if we can improve and then reevaluate then

Gazza in goal, Harry up top and 9 other random players from the squad jogging around in a disorganised fashion. In other words any team/formation from the last 18 months or so.
