Poch convinces Lo Celso etc to come to Tottenham then doesn't show up to manage the team.Blames now the Eriksen situation and the team being unsettled. In my opinion the players never had a focus for this one. They were running around aimlessly. We've seen it before so many times (often at the end pulling rabbits out of a hat to save the day) but it belied our lack of flow.
Are all our players this bad?
Poch has one plan, yes he probably would like to change it to get on the front foot but not sure he knows how.
Blaming the window instead of managing and taking responsibility for the crap display is the problem. Poch is great what he can do but he is limited

As much as I appreciate everything Poch has done for us, if he has lost the dressing room then he only has himself to blame.

The amount of uncertainty and negativity he’s created over the past year can only unsettle the players. Why should they be fully committed if Poch himself is constantly fuelling speculation over his own future.

Could well be quick and it could well be Maureen.....
I’ve disliked Mourinho pretty much since his first few games in England, when we drew at Stamford Bridge in one of his/ Santini’s first matches and he introduced the phrase ‘park the bus’ to football vernacular. However, it’s very difficult to argue with the titles he has won, and frankly I witnessed George Graham managing our club, if I survived that I’ll survive any manager bar Sol Campbell.

Will Daniel sack a very valuable asset though Val?

DL will do whats best for the club. If Poch has lost the dressing room which didnt just happen yesterday, has dropped Jan for no apparent reason and the players are reflecting this on the pitch, big decisions have to be taken... if you think that Levy will let it drift after weve reached our first CL final, finishing regularly in the top 4, considered challengers and moved into the best stadium in the country, well he wont....

Unfortunately it maybe appears Poch is believing all the hype about himself. Seems to have moved away from whst he use to be. Havent seen him hug the players on pitch coming of after match in ages.
Obviously in a strop yesterday. Shook Bruce’s hand and straight down the tunnel. Usually shakes hands with their staff as well.

Wasn't his recent quote of taking over a club and 'introducing winning conditions' or words to that effect, it did unfortunately lead me to our club when he said it.

This isn't me advocating Mourinho at all necessarily but I can see the appeal from Levy's point of view.
Can’t see Levy being tempted at all. Doubt he’d see past Mourinho’s parting gift cheque. Once again, trophies are not guaranteed. Mourinho walking away an even richer man is. Anyway, I’m done talking about him. It’s horror fantasy nonsense and thankfully irrelevant to Spurs.

I just can’t see Mourinho and Levy being able to work with each other. In particular how we operate in the transfer market
Mourinho is already an admirer of our supposed best 11, and funnily enough, I always thought the two of them would have a natural way of understanding one-another. Back when we were hiring "a Portuguese" (before it was clear it was AVB) I thought Mourinho made a lot of sense. Again, I personally don't WANT him, but most of the reasons against hiring him are just fictitious blah blah blah and not rooted in facts.
He has the profile, the track record and the self confidence that fits a top 4 club, and his style of arrogance in the media is at the very least fun, not just sour.

Honestly thought I’d never be in a position to question poch, thought he’d be at another club while we’re on a high

I said yesterday that I've been feeling this ever since the CL final, when Poch started stating he may quit.

The feeling of Mourinho being here just hasn't gone away. Everytime I see him on tv, I immediately imagine he'll be our coach.

In defence of Mourinho he has been doing some soul searching, he's spent some time here in Portugal in Setubal where I think he's used the time to reflect and humble himself. He's also stated that he will have a new team with him and has been learning new aspects and reinventing his methods. I also think we have a squad he'd work very well with. Obviously the down side is that when it stinks, it stinks.

I really hoped/hope Poch can turn this around and get the team firing again, as id much rather have continuation of improving and the idea of the 16/17 side being reinvented and a better version of it. However with all his comments and issues with certain big players, it doesn't sound like its going to happen the way we have envisioned.

I'm very disturbed by his "we are so far off" comments. Tell that to your staff, not in a press conference.

I bet Mourinho is talking to a recruitment consultant (@riggi?) even as you type. Welcome to the Dougalpocalypse.

Currently we are playing shit football and winning no trophies.

But Poch is a likeable man so who cares...

On that point. I don’t find him that likeable anymore, which is weird to say. I find his post match interview and PCs a bore and he always seems so abrasive and fed up. Maybe it’s because we’ve been playing so crap for so long but I used to feel like this even after games when we won really, but you overlook things when you win.

Just seems like the magic has gone.

I would have loved him 10 years ago. Now he's a really big risk. Big ego getting a massive payday.

I think it's fair to say both the manager and the clubs profile have never been higher. There have been numerous rumours of Poch leaving and him refusing to rule it out and saying he may leave after the CL final. There will be managers not in work who will look at our squad and think they could take us over the line. Levy will be well aware of this and I have no doubt will pull the trigger if he feels the need to.

Assuming this is all true, I hope the trigger is pulled after the Arsenal game (which as it stands, we'll likely lose). We've seen it too many times before with every other club: when you've lost the dressing room there is no way back, it just doesn't happen. We can't afford to let the season go to waste while our rivals are improving, top 4 is critical.

I'm stunned that I'm even contemplating this 3 games into the season but the club comes first, always.

Just back from a dog walk with a friend, and was saying to them that i'd be half tempted to pull the plug on Poch now, especially with a rejuvenated Mourinho available - so to see this post is an eye opener.

An inconceivable thought a week ago tbh but it cannot be lost on Levy or the fans that over the past few years our club has benefited greatly from disharmony elsewhere (United,Chelsea and Arsenal) whereas we had absolute unity, and that saw us reach new heights in the PL. Now the roles are reversing and despite me being absolutely certain that our squad and our manager are better than those at United and Chelsea, they are the ones pulling in the right direction and are upbeat, whereas we are the ones seemingly imploding.

Anyone from Madrid want a manager and a midfielder in a package ?

Ive honestly at this stage no idea regarding Mourinho, although its been suggested...what we do know is that currently we are going backwards and worse than that, we are not performing and like it or not its under Pochs management....

Disagree to an extent. Think he walked into a mess at United. He didn't handle it very well by any means and I'd hate to have a coach complaining every week (although we've got Poch doing that now).

He's still one of the best around. Every one seems to agree that getting that United team to finish second was a success and if it wasn't for City and Pep they probably would have won it.

I don't think he's a long term manager but in all seriousness, if Poch isn't anymore, who is?
