Get it right.

H: A question from Sean earlier and now Sean’s brother from North Wembley said “Arsenal will win, didn’t that guy sitting there play for Tottenham who last won the Premiership when people wore caps in the terraces”

T: He is absolutely right but I am only saying what I feel I am an Arsenal fan as kid. At the end of the day my dad still goes to the Emirates every week I would love to see them do well. But I feel he wins a lot of admirers at Arsenal football club in recent years, play the best football that anyone plays. On their day they are better than anyone. I think we all agree that, but that doesn’t win you trophies and they are lacking something at the moment. The most successful times Arsene Wenger had as a manager of Arsenal has been when he has had a core of English players. I think if Sean’s brother from North Wembley was to have a little look back at the record books he will see that it has been 4 years. This rebuilding process, how long does it actually take. Arsene Wenger is fantastic he doesn’t come out and say they haven’t given him money. It is quite evident that they are not giving him any money to spend. And the likes of Hleb to let him go and Flamini and keep hold of Cesc Fabregas is a major plus for them. But can they challenge again this season? I doubt it.

Fuck shit. Oh no, that must mean he's out to destroy the club

In all seriousness, what the fuck does this mean? How does it affect his ability to do a job?

Keep it simple stupid.

He'll be great. The tactical geniuses over the years (gross, hoddle, ramos, avb) have regressed us.

Even the best generals (tsubodai, rommell, alexander, napoleon, julius) kept it simple but well trained.

Cl here we come.

Worried that now he has the job we will see players like Townsend and Lennon always first choice. Hope he proves me wrong as we have a fantastic opportunity here to push on.

Same team as last game please Tim.

No offence, but I don't really get this line of reasoning.
He had no hesitation whatsoever in starting Lamela, Ericksen and Soldado in the same team, which is what most everyone wanted - and didn't hesitate to bring Chadli on, who was pretty decent (never got the Chadli hate, myself). Most telling, in this context, of course, is the chairman's own statement "We have a great squad and we owe them a Head Coach who will bring out the best in them and allow them to flourish". I'm sure part of the problem with AVB was his reluctance to pay the expensive Ericksen, the even more expensive Lamela and the high earning Adebayor. InterTim seems have set about rectifying that, and I am fairly certain he has an inkling that Levy wants to see our expensive squad used, and used properly. Besides, I hardly imagine it was referring to Townsend, who got loads of time under AVB. And he's injured now, anyway, so don't see how he can start his reign by obsessively and relentlessly playing him at Lamela's (or anyone else's) expense.

The 1 1/2 year contract makes sense even if Levy is getting someone else in next summer. It probably won't cost much to fire Sherwood if things doesn't work out, but at the same time it gives the illusion of continuity and stability that I'm sure the players need to be at their best.

I'm not convinced he's the right man for the job but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. At least it looks like we're going to be an exciting team to watch with Tim in charge

The length of contract means nothing,Tim Sherwood is a realist and already knows that if he doesn't win games,he will be replaced.................its that simple.

The case for Sherwood
is the one they put
the ventriloquist's dummy in.

So certain and assertive
and so unfailingly wrong.
