Cheers A&C.

Dragons info doesn't surprise me at all, transfers were already starting to go down the loan with option route pre-covid. We've already done it with Gio and Gedson and we've seen clubs on the continent doing it for a little while now.

Is that an N’dombele cryptic or just a weird digression from your usual style?

Every single football Club is suffering with lack of cash flow. Covid impact will be seen in football in this window. So, yes, I see lots of swaps happening.

So if Zidane leaves Real, Mourinho is an option for them? So we could litterraly be without a manager by the end of July. Hope it’s not too late to get Poch back...

Why would Zidane leave? As it stands they’re top of the league.

I took the Mourinho comments as more of a he isn't going anywhere, rather than there is a chance he's going to Madrid.

"I won't coach for 20 years. I'll retire before that," Zidane said in a news conference ahead of Real Madrid's game with Espanyol on Sunday. "I'm an unusual coach, anything could happen. I'm not planning anything. It's the day-to-day that excites me. For how long, I don't know.

Even so, I don't see Mourinho jumping ship. Despite the financial situation I think Jose likes what he's got in terms of the stadium, training ground and bulk of the squad. I think he would see it as a black mark on his CV if he left Spurs any time soon.

As far as the loan market goes, I'm all for that. There are so many players out there that aren't happy or not getting enough game time at top clubs. We need to be smart (for once) in our assessments and bring in some experienced winners that can fill the gaping holes in our side.

I was disappointed to hear we won't be spending other than loans since they are a short term solution but will have to wait and see.

Think that’s just how the markets gonna work this summer we’ll not be the only ones. Also how much deadwood have we had over the last few years after signing haven’t worked out how we’d of wanted too. Maybe loans ain’t the worse thing in the world esp if Jose only has 2/3 years at Spurs.

Levy has borrowed £150million to counter losses because of corona. In a way,is it possible that any money set aside for transfers is therefore ring fenced?
This window there will be some absolute bargain transfers to be had.Someone like Levy would normally be rubbing his hands in anticipation of picking up a player for a bargain fee who will more than likely be worth a lot more next year. Next year’s valuation would look good on the balance sheet and that’s where the important figures are.

Levy borrowed £150 million as it was such a dirt cheap loan it was silly not to take it from what I’ve read.

Not sure how that will impact upon transfer dealings though

My thinking is that the £150 million is used to cover losses caused by corona. A Wild theory though is if that borrowed money covers the financial losses therefore any money that had been set aside for transfers does not have to be used to cover the loss of income and could still be available for transfers.A wild Hope but ,after all this is Levy and in financial matters he is a very clever man.

Dragon didn't actually say that. He said mainly loans and no big purchases, but that doesn't mean that we won't buy anyone. There could be some good value out there.
