Sorry!!!! Pipe down son. I was suggesting selling a first team starter and replacing with a shit keeper, a midfielder that plays for Everton that is crocked and a defender from a second rate league for 40m that we really don't need imo. Just because your a mod doesn't mean you can spout shit. I wasn't breaking any rules. I was talking about the recent itk regarding how many coming in. If you don't want others opinions on the site then resign. And when did I mention us not doing well? Bravo.

You have the right to an opinion.

It's just that's it's a terrible one. And we have a right to tell you it's a terrible one. In the same way you're allowed to make it in the first place.

Here he is!! So why was it a bad opinion? I think most Spurs fans in general and not just us on here will feel we need to make some game changing signings, as I've already stated if it's only Barkley gazza and Sanchez then that is not really acceptable for competing for the title. One won't play, ever. One won't play until near Xmas if injuries are believed and the other has never played for Poch and will likely only play due to injuries for a few months unless injuries happen. So please tell me again how that is a horrible opinion? And not an honest one.

I think, for the most part, a lot of us are banking on Sanchez, Barkley and Gazzaniga (I said it and I spelled it without offending anyone).

Sanchez and Barkley are enormous as they give us high-quality depth at positions that are generally weak; especially for Eriksen's case.

I don't want to be greedy, but I really feel like we need an out-and-out attacking addition to really help round out the squad. We all hope Sissoko can be sold, but that's looking increasingly unlikely. And, as much as I love Lamela, it's hard to really put any sort of expectations for contribution on him. Nkoudou is weird. I can't even touch that one. I feel like we need a wide forward type that can offer us something different. Balde would be perfect, but that seems like it's dead in the water.

Please go and inform Mr Levy who we can get that is better than Barkley and Sanchez within our fee and price range, I'm sure he would appreciate the input.

Our front 3 are probably all worth over £100m in the current market, we were top goalscorers last season I believe. In fact there was little wrong with us in general aside from arguably a lack of belief in a title challenge early on and too many draws when Toby and Kane got injured.

You say Barkley isn't up to much as he's from Everton, I bet Utd fans are happy enough with Lukaku right now.

I want us to really go for the league too but you can't really knock Levy if he's splashing out a potential club record fee for one of the brightest CB prospects in world football! ITK staying Barkley and at least one other outfield signing to come too, and seems a good chance it could be an attacking one. As JJ says, patience required.

I'm waiting until 1st Sept before going loco but even then I have faith in the team Poch has built being very competitive...

For starters I never went loco, lol. Pretty sure there is better value somewhere than40m for a cb and I'm guessing we could probably find a better cm than Ross Barkley for under 30m who might actually play before our cl is over. I know signings are for the long term but if we drop out early again and end up in Europa we will be looked at as small time. Again.

Mate, you should be embarrassed to own up to putting your honeymoon ahead of a London derby ;)

Seriously though congrats and best of luck for the big day.

I agree. But I think it has to be looked at bearing in mind long term squad building and what is available, and of course cost. If Balde was available, I think we would have got him rather than Aurier but I suspect we were never likely to afford both (on top of Barkley and Sanchez). Since Balde apparently isn't available, we may prefer high quality reinforcement in one position that needs reinforcement (e.g. Aurier at RB) to mediocre quality reinforcement in another position that, admittedly, does also need reinforcement (e.g. Josh King) at FW. We then spend the next year trying to identify and lay the groundwork to get the right FW target next summer.

But if a Balde-quality FW is available now (obviously at a 'reasonable' price), I would prefer that to Aurier. And if both are possible, that would be fabulous!
