I'm not really convinced by this board member power struggle thing. Sure, when we were listed it would be plausible but now ENIC are far and away the major shareholder (85%). What ENIC says goes and Levy pretty much has proxy for Lewis anyway.

Can anyone clarify if this is a power struggle at ENIC or at Spurs? I may be mistaken but as far as I am aware there are no other shareholders with anything close to the amount needed to cause any problems.

Unless there is a power struggle between Levy and Lewis, which is unlikely since Lewis is a back seat kinda guy, then there wouldn't be a struggle at ENIC.

It could be at board level with the last season decision making- the signings, sacking of AVB, appointment of TS....
Lets not forget - we have a stadium to build. I guess there could be unrest with the way the whole season was managed.

You're not mistaken, ENIC own 85%.

Over on coys last month there was some chat that a new person might be coming in to help out with the stadium getting built. Strange they would be admitted to the board, but if that was a carrot to get them in (and they were that good at their job that it was worth it) then it could be to do with that.

Jan has told us that he is open to signing a new contract. Negotiations started before the WC and look to be concluded before too long.

I'd be lying if I said that excited me that much. I have real issues with (my perception of) his attitude

Having said that he Is a high profile player & like the Hugo contract it shows intent on our part

Well that goes against the recent gossip...

And would solve the CB problem to a degree!

Cheers
