What about the space that Pritchard may leave, looking at Windy's ITK.
Njie, Chadli and Pritchard out??

Would like some of our potentially departing English players like Pritchard, Mason, Carroll etc to if the opportunity arises go abroad. Would be good for them in terms of their development and less chance of any of them hurting us as they won't be going to a competitor.

Edwards and Onomah might be seen as the guys to step up now. We already have Nkoudo, Son, Eriksen, Lamela, Alli so I think we should be ok but wouldn't be against an X factor should the opportunity arise.

Marcus Edwards may take that space that Njie & Chadli departing would open.
Is he capable of stepping up just yet? There's suggestions he will get some game time, but if itk says Pritchard and N'Jie are off then this might mean he gets game time.

thats the big question..whether he's ready or not but with rumors about him being promised 1st team time...you could see him, Onomah getting more looks

Edwards is one of 6 development players in the squad for the matches in Oz. Suggests he (and Harrison) may both be in first team squad next season. If both are the players people say they are, perhaps we don't need any more in comings.
Either way, (onion) I reckon the deals done by the end of tomorrow will be the shape of he squad for the opening of the PL season (hope so, so they can train together and bond) - outgoings to be confirmed over the course of the tour.
Final hope is that Levy still has the cheque book available for a VdV type signing - thought it would be Gotze but apparently that was a non-runner due to wages. Hey ho!

I generally agree. It's incredible that we've managed to bolster the squad in the way we have with basically no sales. It shows me that Levy may not be as rigid as a lot of people think.

I think there's still a deal for Yunus Malli in the works. But, I think that's going to wait for sales; Chadli, Pritchard and probably N'Jie playing a part in that.

I still am not sure on CB. Part of me thinks we're good with Dier being that emergency guy to Toby with CCV operating as 4th/5th choice. But on the other hand I'm thinking CCV is best served on loan, getting some substantial competitive match minutes under his belt. I'd tend to think he would have some suitors in the Championship. It's quite the conundrum; Dier filling in takes him away from where he's becoming an elite DM, adding a CB could potentially muddle up our depth chart/block the path of a guy like CCV who keeps showing more and more that he's closer to being ready, etc.

Pritchard and Njie played 5 games between them last season (GKN will play more than that) and Janssen has effectively replaced Chadli.

I'm with you. There are media/twitter links to a few defenders (not seen any ITK though) so hopefully there is a plan there. However, as with Dier at DM it may be that Poch has a plan for cover using the players already in the squad. Wimmer's needs contract today is also positive.
