Wow, Barnett's latest comments, on top of the ITK we've had today (including @rebrab 's comments) makes me think we may end up with both Bale and Reggie soon.
Blimey, what a change from yesterday.

I’m a little stumped at the angst about Dele going to Madrid tbh. Apart from the odd “moment,” he’s not been very good for over 18 months. Before that, when he was weighing in with goals, you could read every match thread and see a plethora of posters calling for him to be hooked because he was doing nothing throughout the game.

Personally I’d be quite happy for him to go there, he’s been far from the type of player that either Modric or Bale were for us before their moves, if anything he’s been quite detrimental to our play, particularly in transition.

Good luck to him should this happen.

The Barnett quote has definitely cemented this for me as likely to happen seeing as he's always the one to piss on the proverbial chips in the past.

The collective mourning at the idea of Dele spending a year in Madrid is ridiculous and will soon wear off.

Aside from the odd flash of brilliance, he’s been a shadow of his former self for the best part of two years.

In a year’s time, a revived Dele coming back from Madrid, along with Skipp coming back from Norwich, will give our midfield a massive boost. If Dele doesn’t perform in Madrid, we’ll no doubt sell him on. But his make-or-break season has surely arrived.

Or as per ITK Levy is/has been dragging his heals and it’s propaganda from GB side to make him press the button.

Yeah when you put it as a loan, a chance for him to turn things around, maybe grow up a bit, him coming back could be fantastic. If he was leaving that'd be sad but this could potentially be great for all involved.

If he does well in Madrid he won't be coming back.

If he does so well at Madrid they want him then they have to sit down with Levy and agree a 100 million pound deal and remove that buy back clause on our LB.

Absolutely agree. I wasn't seeing anyone of interest being interested in him tbh, but if this is true it's a great deal for all involved as a season loan. Review after that.

I can only imagine Mou's lost patience with him.

Cant see dele going tbh definitely not on a swap hes worth what? 40 50 mil? I know his forms not been great of late but he's worth more than the 20 mil real are valuing bale at atm unless this means reguilon too?

Edit.... just seen its prob a loan, could work if real want just for a season, probably won't even get a look in with their squad tbh tho

If he does perform he won't be coming back. I'm happy to let him go regardless, I think he needs a new challenge and our squad definitely needs new blood and some inspiration.

My main concern re Dele is it just complicates an already complicated deal.... we need these deals done ASAP.
