I didn't say you did!

I'm saying what's the point on getting on his back about transfers when its him who has to mould a side together and pick from a squad he deems suitable to do so from. Its his style after all that he'll be implementing, obviously.

I think MS is a very good player and did so long before we appointed Poch, and if he wants him I'd definitely be in favour of it.
You Implied that?
All I was trying to point out is that it would be foolish to go " all in" in trusting poch at the moment in transfers for our great club until he perhaps has earnt some?
I want poch to succeed as much as we all do but we've all been here before many times with putting our trust in inexperienced managers only for it to be misplaced?

How much are you guys willing to bet that we put ourselfs in the same situation as last year by selling Rose?
I would gladly sell him even if he was the only other player in the entire squad. Such is my disdain for him.

Davies scored 2 goals, most of our defenders scored nowt. Presumably they were long shots from the edge of his penalty area. Kinnear, Baker, and many other backs were not quick but they could play a pass and manouver forward, as Corluka often did with Lennon. Corluka had no pace but he was a threat. For the uninitiated its called football, pass and move.

I said 'we' as in all of us.

I don't really know what your point is mate, I'm struggling. Are you suggesting we put a transfer embargo on him until he earns our trust?

I may be wrong but it looks like people only started talking about him on here around the beginning of June?

He's definitely been highly rated for a while

Put it this way he got on the France standby list for a very good reason, just over 2 years after playing championship football.

My point was, on what foundation do you have this total trust in poch that you are asking us to have? What has he achieved/won as a manager that gives you this total confidence?
And no of course I'm not suggesting we have a transfer embargo just don't see the point in buying players that are no better than we already have

Why don't you go back and look in the Pochettino threads. I covered this numerous times in there and the ITK thread isn't the place for going over this all again.

The point you keep missing though is that its not your judgement that counts, or mine, its Pochettino's.

So a good day in all then

- Davies looking really close
- Schneiderlin maybe letting the cat out of the bag
- Bullet dodged on Remy

The next stories breaking I'd like to see would be the departures of Siggy and Dembele to make room and cover costs.

Your right this isn't the place & maybe better to just wait & see how things pan out with poch? Ultimately we all want the same thing in success for our club :)

Swap Dembele for Paulinho in that last sentence and we have a winner.

I want to see what Paulinho can do when he's rested, confident and playing in an organised team.

I don't want to watch Dembele sabotage every single break with his delaying and dead end dribbling, and limping round the pitch with his arthritic hip anymore.

Basically Paulinho has only been crap one season, so there may be salvation; whereas Dembele has clocked up a poor 21 months now.

Think this is a good bit of business if we get Davies and schneiderlin...both class as home.grown and allows us leverage and flexibility on further signings this window.

Great point. I'll just add that both are young and seem very coachable.

I'm afraid it really doesn't look like it would be Dembele that left if Schneiderlin comes in.

I like the player a lot but this one gives me a slight feeling of dread, because it is clearly signalling the departure of Sandro, imo.

People may have some logical points about Sandro and injury concerns but for me it will be a big loss. He's a big character, a big presence on the pitch when fit and his leaving would just be a damn shame all round. When fit ( and I believe he could get there again) he is one of the most dominating and intelligent DMs in the world.

He's one of the few players that the fans feel a genuine connection to as well and my personal favourite player of the last 3-4 years

Sooo at what point do we fire up the ole flight tracker? Where's Swamsea atm? Still in Milwaukee?

Also, how exactly is it bad news if we miss out on Remy? That's excellent news, IMO.

Also what a whirlwind day. Going from losing out on Davies to buying him.

And selling Sandro for Schneiderlin? Fuck that noise.

You got there before me. But how on earth can you not be able to agree a fee when you've just sold Suarez for £75million. I know Liverpool fans think Ayre is a bit of dickhead but this is very strange indeed...

I think it was uncertain whether he would be an automatic first team choice at the Bin Dippers from what i have read?
