I don't understand why we'd loan Dele out? Surely we want money from selling players?

Dele stock is down currently - dont see any clubs really interested in him that he would want to go for. If he goes out on loan & does well we increase his value.

And someone pays his wages too.

Going off the ITK Loan (to PSG) for a decent fee reduction in the eduardo sell on. He scores for fun there as its an easy league and he will score loads running from deep. Then suddenly we have a 80-100m player on our hands. 2 years ago he was 100m player now lucky to get 40-50. A loan to a more forgiving league where he will be able to attack at will could see us get a much bigger fee in the long run. His time here is done

It’s really very obvious.

Jose, like most managers, has always admired Dele. He wanted Woodward to sign him at United.

So of course he’s going to come in, big him up, and challenge him to recapture the form and performances he’s been capable of in the past.

Dele, quite simply, has not met the challenge aside from a handful of occasions.

If Dele was performing regularly, there would be no “U turn”.

The manager challenges players to prove their worth, and gives them the opportunity to do so. Some will, some won’t. See also: Tanguy Ndombele.

This shouldn't be too much for anyone to wrap their head around

I’m baffled Mourinho started him in the first match if this is so.

I think Edouard is a future star but right now someone like Wout is probably more what we need and would being something new to the squad. That plan B and a real threat in a packed area.

I'd be absolutely delighted if we somehow signed Edouard but I would be worried if we'd be able to offer the game time even with Europa. With Bale now there's less chance of getting minutes as a wide forward than there was at the start of the window.

Either way, things sounding very promising from ITK. What a weekend we've had!

Is Gards allowed in here? It seems it’s opinion,
So don’t know whether I can post it?

Loaning Dele makes sense, selling him doesn't (not to me anyway). He was hard done by to be taken off at half time in the previous match. His stock is too low to be bringing in the sort money he could generate if he gets back on form. It only makes sense if we really don't think he has it anymore, I personally thought he looked sharp in pre-season, albeit against lesser teams.
