We don't need a bigger signing than Ade. But we do need someone who can rotate in that position as Ade might suffer injury, loss of form or need a rest now and again. Also worth remembering that he'll be away for 6 weeks of the season from January at the ANC. The prospect of Defoe playing up top on his own during that time is horrifying.

Totally agree, just think people are setting themselves up for a fail thinking about some strikers. How many decent strikers would want to come sit on the bench at Spurs though? We did quite well with Pav over the years in retrospect.

Don't think someone like Damaio is gonna come and sit on the bench. I actually don't think Kane is worst back up option in the world, sure the kid isn't gonna set the world on fire but I'd rather give him a go than splash £10m on Bobby Zamora or Nikola Zigic

I just read that as well...

If those quotes weren't taken out of context, I think we should all rest assured that moves will be made, and this squad will be widely better by the time September rolls around. And please God/AVB/DL, rid us of David Bentley.

quite exciting news lads .. well for me anyway but spurs related and thought i share .. could be genuine ITK in a weeks time

i work in TM Lewin (a corporate suiting company) and just found out today that my lucky bastard assistant manager will go to White Hart Lane to tailor all the first team squad and coaches sometime next week apparently Tottenham have agreed with TM Lewin to wear our suits (most probably they will wear those suits for match day or when were in cup games)

She told me she took a few pics off her phone of people she aint got a clue who they were (one in her words was "a short good looking ginger man") can only think of avb .. she took a stadium tour etc this was about 2 weeks ago she's been on holiday since yesterday. She literally has not got a donkeys clue about the club but said it was a brilliant experience.

anyways here is the exciting news .. she needs a few assistants with her who can tailor suits (im one of them) to go with her that day .. ive begged her to the point were ive even asked her for free no strings attached sex with me (she is not pretty) would take one for the team .. she's going to let me know by friday if i can (she needs to speak to the big boss in my store)

IF i go .. im going to literally be asking every single question under the sun .. mainly about new signings and further transfers .my eyes will be everywhere that day if i can spot anyone new . and will update you all for sure .. worst comes to worst my friend would end up going and ive already told him what to do

hopefully there will be a few interesting stories on that day which either way i will know about (if i go or my mate goes) .. and this is the place that will get the exclusive lol

They might of been taken out of context a little, but hey its no secret that the deal is currently stalling...AVB definitely saying we are looking at other options though - could be to pressure City and/or Adebayor of course.

Bit of both I should imagine. Were no doubt looking at other strikers. Ade hasn't signed and the window is tick-tocking. Even if we sign Ade, we'd likely be looking at other strikers. But yeah, bit of a hurry up - to Ade I should imagine. We need him fit if he does sign and the first game is less than 3 weeks away now.

Mate you are willing to make a huge sacrifice for us, which is great - but you need to go one step further. You need to sexually fling yourself at every single individual associated with THFC. I am talking Joe Lewis, AVB, Jenas, Bentley, Medics, kitchen staff - DO NOT GO FOR KIT BOYS AS THAT WILL MAKE YOU A PAEDO. Normally we only hear second hand stories from mates of girls who sleep with players, but now we have a chance to skip straight to first hand gossip. Go get em.
