Am I the only one here who doesn't really rate Lloris? I mean I'm not saying he's a poor GK by any stretch, I think he's a bit better than Brad, but I don't see all the hype surrounding him.

I think Samir Handanovic is the better, cheaper, and more adaptable option.

I figured out what went on with Ian B.

Levy, JJ, Archie and Ian were gathered in a room today.

Within the framework of his club, he's much more involved in the buildup of play rather than stuck sweeping up in front of the defense. His passing range is very good, but he tends to rely on the short pass; however, I feel that with a little work, we can coax a more extensive range of passing from him and use him as a definite link between defense and attack. reality is hitting me now. we are going to have a terrible terrible season.

a gaping hole left by modric, no (wc) strikers, the press jumping on the new manager back.

I think we will be fine faze, once the chips fall we will have a new manager with a nice pot of cash to re-invest in the squad. We all know that we need strikers and I'm sure that fact hasn't got past the board either.

We maybe be in a bit of a transitional period at present but we have been buliding as a club for the past few seasons and I fully expect us to contiune to do that. It may seem like one step back at present but then I fully believe that it will be a case of two steps forward.

Losing Modric will be a blow but we have a great squad and one player doesn't make a squad. If he goes to Madrid for a large chunk of cash then that is a bonus in my eyes. He was always going to go this summer and better to Spain than Man Utd or Chelsea. I am sure we have replacements lined up.

Come the new season we will all be excited by the new mangers shiny new squad and ready for the rollercoaster of a season as a Spurs fan!

Come on People KEEP THE FAITH!

Not really too bothered about Modric going - if it's Real and it's £30m + (and perhaps an option on a player or two?) that's about the best we could've hoped for. I've been resigned to him leaving for a while, and although his performance against Spain the other night made me shed a tear at how brilliant he was, the team goes on. Balls to him. The main thing is another season of not selling our best players to our PL rivals.

Anyway if AVB comes in I'm sure he'll have a name or six in mind for the role.

Think it depends on the manager. AVB'll want Moutinho. Blanc would want Cabaye. Benitez would want seventy three Spanish internationals and Gareth Barry etc etc.

I can't see us not spending this summer. If we end the window with say this as our first XI:

Nope, not ITK but read elsewhere about the company RE Spurs.....AEG arent really currently looking for that sort of thing (buying a club). They're in the business of negotiating naming rights.

I'm sure you know the whole Olympic Stadium story that if we had moved into that shithole they would have wanted to use it for concerts and other things when we werent in season to continue to generate a revenue for the club.
