the Skriniar news are unpleasant and really hope Diop is not the one PL center back we're targeting. he has shown flashes in the past but has been underwhelming as of late (for a while now). feel like it would be more of the same error prone type of player.

The prem striker D1 has mentioned consistently is Ings, so assuming that’s who he means. But the fact he doesn’t say Ings (when he’s freely mentioned him a lot so far) means it could be someone new. Intriguing stuff.

Skriniar news isn’t that surprising. Officials bid usually only go in when they know they’ll be accepted in discussions.

Good to know from D1 that we are also looking at the PL for striker and defender. Makes sense from Jose's perspective, as he is probably keen to have players who can come in and won't take considerable time to settle. Which suggests he is feeling a bit of urgency in terms of what he wants the team to achieve this year. As much as the Inter Milan lad, Dias and all of the other strikers we've been linked to from other leagues, sound like a good idea on paper, there is always the risk that it might take them half-a-season to settle. And I'm guessing Jose doesn't have time for that. I sincerely trust he knows what he wants and knows what will work based on how he wants to play. I'm looking forward to seeing how these pursuits pan out. From D1's message, it at least implies a relatively high(ish) level of confidence that we might just get those targets over the line by the close of the TW! Happy times... hopefully! :)

not necessarily but obviously making something official (especially at this order of magnitude) implies that a decision to pursue a certain asset has materialized into something. that's why I said it was unpleasant: the lack of a bid (opposed to the reports that Spurs were in a more advanced stage of the negotiations) probably means that the process is still in an early stage.

D1 said
there has been no official bid for for the inter defender as some media are claiming , not saying we have no interest but no bid and not as advanced as media reckon

Benfica do not want top sell Dias right now

we are back in for one of the prem forwards previously linked (not josh king ), Celtic currently asking to much for striker

personally think will be the prem defender I hinted at Monday and a striker, we would like a mid too but other than passing on Ramsey there has been no activity there unless we are doing something under the radar

I had just started to get excited about Skriniar now it seems I need to set that aside. At least for the time being.?

D1 on the money, so not challenging what he is saying. We are certainly trying for Skriniar. Josè wants him! Maybe the price they want may deter that happening. Not very hard to work out who the premier league CH is. Will not put his name here.

Seems like just the downward swing of the coaster. Wouldn’t be too downhearted as we know deals can change very quickly and they’re probably all interdependent right now. All dragons points are spot on. Just because benfica don’t want to sell right now for example, doesn’t mean they won’t be far more willing in a weeks time when more bills become due.

Forward talk has cooled recently or should i say the talk of specific targets we had dont appear to be specific anymore and its a scattergun approach now.
