What makes me sick is you know these deals would be all but wrapped up if it weren't for Drogba. I need to get past that game still, cruel they make us wait a few weeks until the Euros can distract us at least.

It's not Drogba's fault, it's our own team's fault. We've got to play the cards we've been dealt now. It sucks, but we're still in good shape to do well next season.

Yeah fortunately it doesn't look like it has affected our targets too significantly, but the $ would mean I could stop being such an ITK-whore. :p

Let's be honest here, the extra money would make us all even bigger ITK whores :D

So the deal is agreed for Vertonghen but we have to sort out how the money shall be paid. I suggest we pay it off in Canadian dollars and save ourselves some money.

I wouldn't if I were you. The loony (yes, that's what it's called) has strengthened a lot against the pound in recent years. I should know: I've been on the pointy end of the movement.

Ok, but my point is, If Inter want 5-10 euros or 5-10 pounds, why would we offer 8 ? or 7 ? We offer 5. So why would Inter give us a price range ? What nutcase would offer the highest amount ?

Think it's called press speculation....

The fantastic positive here is that we've realised we need to improve - it's an urgency to improve I don't think I've ever seen under Harry before.

The obvious downside of this is that if we'd have done that two years ago/18 months ago/6 months ago we wouldn't need to do it now. But oh well, at least we're trying.

Don't think they would be, we won't pay silly prices for players and will do all we can to get the best price. Transfers take time and it would be great if we got one or two in before the Euros, that is all I am hoping for, anything else would be a bonus.

Absolutely this. I really don't give a fuck. Purely because there are very few players out there I actually get excited about. Loads and loads of so so players.

Maybe I look at our current squad and can't see many players available that would be an upgrade.

To be honest it's the whole of football that leaves me a bit meh.

Who has the most money wins! Great!! Football is all a bit stale at the moment IMO and I just don't enjoy it as much as I used to.

Don't get me wrong I love spurs but think football as a whole is a bit shit to be honest

Perfectly put , id love a return to the days when a Derby or Villa could win the title .

18 mill in one payment , 20mil if its in loose coins and linked to various other variables such as him being top scorer the year we win the treble etc

lol, good guessing there.

1. We would have no chance of a one off £18m payment
2. If its £20m then the player is worth £20m and not £18m

You'd have loved Ligue 1 this season then.

Apart from rich teams will now destroy that Montpellier squad and cherry pick every last ounce of talent from it, and so a refreshing interlude will merely contribute to the soul of football ultimately dying a bit more...
So, that said, who's up for exploiting the situation by stealing Olivier Giroud off those cheap French f*****s anyway?! :sneaky:

well Jospur seems to disagree that its happening. What with his contacts and past ITK...

Yeah i've just seen he gave you a negative, give me strength............. Jospur wants to be careful he doesn't lose his access to the ITK Forums. if it continues, he will be and it isn't just him, there are a few other people who need to stop and think. Its taking the phrase 'don't shoot the messenger' to a whole new level.

Giving someone a negative rating for merely reporting the ITK, (something we urge people to do) shows a pretty poor understanding of what the ratings system is actually for and doesn't actually encourage people to continue posting ITK.

This part of the site would soon become a bit of a shitpit of there were no ITK being reported because one or two individuals lack the capacity to understand what isn't actually all that hard to grasp in the first place.
