Hmmm noticed how JJ has capitalised OC. We are clearly signing Oscar Cardozo! MELTDOWN.

(Joking, by the way)

Not sure if this has been posted yet, apologies if it has.

@jetsetyid AS and Marca are reporting that Sahin is going on loan to a prem team. Any chance it's us? :D

@jaffacakes Remember the player I went out on a limb to say was close who I thought was world class & it fell over at the last minute?

So, as many of us suspected, it was Sahin who we nearly signed.

Based on that, JJ description of world class can shut some people up.

Please please be true, even loan for a year will be the dogs nuts. This guy plays like Hudd + Modric + Palacios(in his 1st season) all wrapped up in one, just like my Italian BMT( pepperoni, salami and ham) all in one.

On the Sahin news:
Lately Real Madrid prefer to sell players than loan them but including a buy back clause in the first few years. They've done it with Negredo, Rodrigo, Canales, Carvajal, etc.
Maybe we are actually buying him but Madrid include a buy back clause.
For example: Madrid pay 30m€ + Sahin (they paid 10m for him so that would be a total of 40m€). In the first two years if they want him back & he wants to return, they pay 15m€ & at the end we get a great player on the cheap or we get 45m€ for Luka.

Sounds like a great deal for all involved

I think Luka would be fantastic at Madrid and Sahin would shine for us, but I am not confident the player will want to sign for us or this deal will end up getting done.

They can do that in Spain because well, everyone bar Valencia (maybe) are just so grateful and poor in comparison. They are the 800lbs gorilla in the room.

Levy would give them a two word answer to a buy back clause and rightly so.

It would make sense of Sahin was sold to us. I'm guessing though that the loan deal might be because Sahin id s not sure.

If there's a buy back clause, I'm pretty sure it would be higher than 15m euros.
The buy back clause would be whatever the balance between our valuation of Luka and what Real pay I assume

So as the guy who suggested this said, if Real pay £30m for Luka and Sahin's buy back fee was set at £15m the total value of the Luka deal would be £45m

So I guess the buy back fee could be whatever but it would be offset by a lower fee for Modric all depending on both clubs agreement of each players valuation when making a deal.
