Morning all. Welcome to the Daily ITK Discussion Thread for Monday 30th July.

For a change, we actually had ITK this weekend..............

Kicking us off was JJ when he gave us some insight into Sahin..........
JJetset said:
There still is no deal as it fell through the other week so I'm not sure what Ben is hearing as it's not happening currently?

He then said.............

Yes it's dead, Mr VB doesn't likee...
So we can put that one on the back burner.

Then, yesterday........JJ on Strikers...........

We have Been trying all week, 1 is close. Worth the wait on the others if they come off. #complicated

Expect Ade. Expect Leandro End off
Very interesting..........

JJetset said:
Ha ha 'expect'?! You been drinking again?! 1 is close (toes crossed )but both ? You don't know what DL has been doing this week!!
Uh-oh..........
Finally, Akqayid posted about Lloris
Akqayid said:
What a way to see out your career at your home club #dutyfree
This was after Hugo Lloris saves two penalties to win whatever poxy trophy Lyon were playing for out in the USA. The 'Dutyfree' refers to his earlier posts saying we will be picking him up on the way home and presenting him on our return.

And that was it for the weekends ITK

Last night the mrs said to me..........

"Oi, what's the chances of me getting you in the sack tonight."

"Absolutely none at all you fat ****" I laughed.

"You're couldnt be more wrong!" she said, as she took aim and kicked me in the bollocks.

What's happened to that Dragon 1 fella? One post about AVB in some hotel and he's off.

I just asked JJ on Twitter if he thought we were any closer with the Ade deal than we were last week, and he replied;

"Yes i really think we are."

if the modric news is true, how much have we got from the sale of players since jan?

anything less than that reinvested in the squad would be a joke.

But it's never that simple, with sell on fees and the like.

Not that I disagree with you, mind.

What comes in will inevitably go out. Purchasing the land to make the NDP possible has cost over £40m, then you have the contruction and he arcitect's fees, the costs fighting Wet Spam for the Olympic Stadium. The costs all add up.

To counter act The Sun Story AS in Spain are saying no deal

Real Madrid denies the agreement by the Croatian Modric

Madrid sources belie the information from The Sun, according to which Madrid had agreed to pay 36 million pounds, almost 45 million euros, the Croatian.
As.com | 29/07/2012
The Sun announced in today's edition that Real Madrid and Tottenham have reached an agreement to the Luca Modric signing by all Madrid. According to British tabloid, Madrid had agreed to pay 36 million pounds, almost 45 million euros (44.6 exactly) by the Croatian midfielder. However, sources of Real Madrid have denied the information to AS. In fact, in Madrid is thought that the agreement is still far away.
Modric, who at first had refused to train with Tottenham, backed off and returned to London. These days have expected a final agreement by the British tabloid that has already occurred but the Madrid, in principle, said he was not willing to pay that amount. Another thing is that the amount would include variables for goals achieved.

We better not get screwed over with a £5m once scores 20 goals type thing. We would never get the money!

He's based in the States now, according to Bizness, so isn't likely to hear much. He's posted very little since Kemsley got the push in any case.

I usually stay out of here on weekends as there's precious little ITK as a general rule, but looks like there was some, though a bit same old same old at this stage still eh!?!

Siggy and Verts were the easy ones, now the real fun is well underway and I believe it will be crunch time before long with the season looming.

Doesn't help that Liverpool decided to crock our players rather than play football over the weekend too.

This was the most interesting bit from the weekend ITK. I would imagine Adebayor is the 1 that is close, but he says others as well which would suggest we're looking at at least 3 forwards in total.

Ideally one of those would be someone who can play as a wide forward or through the middle.

Might be looking at 3, but how many would we realistically try to buy? i reckon there's a plan B and C maybe even in amongst that.
