We have an extensive list of names that are being closely monitored for the summer.

Remit scouts have been given; tall athletic technical players,

Those two sentences is something I really love !
It's great we have a list with a lot of players we are looking at so we can see if they can fit and not just spend money

I also like we are looking for tall players because I think especially our DM is kinda short when we played with winks all the time

Like always, thanks for the info !! ❤

As both JM and DL has said, not much (if at all) purchase activities in January. But, I expect deals to be firmed up for the summer under Poch there were 2 very possible deals, but that has all changed now.

Nothing like sitting still again.

And Maureen will want signings. I'd eat my own shit if he doesn't.

Please help, confused. If the cat is out of the bag on certain players we are after? Does the second bit mean we won’t go in until the summer? Drunk. ?

In closing. Do not have a go at DL for blank window. This is all about JM. Expect certainly key players to be acquired early enough for pre-season. JM has made this very crystal clear to the board. He wants to prove he does not need a huge cheque book to succeed. And he wants to develop talent.
Hmmn. Where have we heard that before? I'll believe it when I see it!

I do hope we bring in Luis Campos or another sporting director before the summer TW. Levy's tried and trusted methods desperately need upgrading imho...

Definitely need someone to help us get smarter in our recruitment, however it's ultimately Levy who needs to sign the giant novelty cheques so there's only so much they can do

Eze is true, and has been for a very long time. One to watch, as not nailed on. If it happened, would be a summer deal, staying with QPR

Would normally agree, but this is Jose and I don’t he’d stick around if certain things don’t happen the way he wants. For the first time we have a manager who has a massive global profile and I don’t think he needs Spurs as much as we need him. If Levy and the Board don’t realise this, then they’re not as smart as they make out.

Others have said this is the past but it's more of a marriage of convenience as both JM and Spurs need each other at this moment n time. But if things go well in the next 18 months it will be interesting if one of the bigger clubs come knocking.
Time will tell- enjoy it while it's going well!

Eze been on the radar for quite a while. This is not a JM inspired deal(should it happen), although I'm told he rates him highly.

On JM he believes the biggest issue we have as a side is a severe lack of technical and more so tactical training, where we have been heavily focused on fitness and intensity. He believes given time to show the players a more disciplined approach to their respective roles and we will improve a lot with what we have.

He wants to move a couple out and get more out on loan and actually playing.

He says he can't really assess what we have without seeing how they react to his methods, and he can't do that until we have more time between games.

Good to hear. We lack so much technique it’s a joke. Not like a classic spurs team.

Makes perfect sense. Under Poch our strength was always our hard work/pressing combined with good man management and individual talent. Even at our best we were never the most tactically aware team and Poch was far better at the broad stokes than the fine details - hence we lost so many crucial big games over the years.

This tracks to me. It seems like Poch's philosophy was to give our extremely talented squad the freedom to create, which meant not filling their heads with too many tactics. That resulted in some incredible acts of talent and genius over the years, but may also be the reason we haven't been able to get over the hump.

Thanks for the info as always Trix. If he's concerned about a lack of technique (and I'm sure most would agree he's right to be) it's odd that he persists in picking some of the least technical players in the squad, ie Dier & Sissoko rather than Lo Celso & Ndombele (or even Skipp & Winks). Appreciate that they need to bed in and that Ndombele keeps getting niggly injuries but the only way they are going to settle in and get up to speed is to play them.
