Thanks for letting us all know you’re in NYC. We needed to know this.

Just posting this from the top of Mount Everest. Surprised I got a signal. Thanks to all the ITK. I’m on holiday and you need to know this. Thanks SC.
It’s alright for you mate, I’m new here and all the yanks want to talk about is Baseball, NFL and Trump... My chances of getting to any games in the UK this year are zero, so I’m trying to find new watering holes and fellow Spurs!

Feel free to drop by if you’re in NYC!

Getting dangerously off topic. Please keep this thread (and subsequent) for relevant ITK discussion. Luckily A&C has let a lot go, but please don't test his patience this close to Deadline Day

So, to summarise, at the end of a long and potentially era defining evening (don't let me down now Daniel)...

  1. Juve have accepted our bid for Dybala. He wants to come but the deal is complicated due to wages and him having sold his image rights to a third party
  2. We are alleged to be in talks with Barca about taking Coutinho on loan with an option to buy. Again, he wants to come
  3. Fernandes has a medical booked for tomorrow (from Goat)
  4. Another "big" medical is booked for Thursday (also Goat)
  5. Rumours are circulating about us being interested in the RB Atal from Nice, and Aurier may be heading back to France
  6. Herc says Palace are interested in 3 of our players. No indication whether this is connected to any move for Zaha
  7. Eriksen is being touted for a move to Man U
  8. The Sessegnon deal has gone quiet, but ITKs were all confident before and no news may simply just be good news
  9. No new developments on Lo Celso (unless I have missed something)
  10. Newcastle are rumoured to be interested in Onomah. As are Fulham. This may be a factor in the completion of the Sessegnon deal
Have I missed anything?

Thanks for the tip! I’m just so excited about the prospect of so many awesome players coming to our club! If we can seal GLC or Dybala I truly think it would change our style against teams who shut up shop... like Brighton. If we get BF and Sess also, then wow, so many options.

Thank you to all the ITK people!

Anyway, this isn’t ITK but my step-dad who has a connection to Fulham is still adamant that the deal is done for Ryan. He seems fairly resigned to the transfer. Apparently it’s been on the cards for over a year. Both brothers want to sign for us. Posted as I’m on my way to Mexico. Thought you’d need to know that.

I’m glad to hear about the Sess brothers. Even if Ryan is the only one who makes it, signing both makes sense from a settling in point of view. Didn’t we do something similar with Chris Gunter when we really wanted Bale, so we got another Welsh youngster to play with him?

Have a nice time in Mexico ?

My step-dad is 70 and comes from a life-long family of Fulham fans. He’s well in with people connected with the owners, and for some reason, Portsmouth.

According to him, Ryan is eager to join us, and the club are happy to let him go. Big sell on fee, which is probably why they’d rather sell to us than United or Chelsea. That’s what I’ve heard anyway. I’d be surprised if we didn’t sign Sessegnon.

I know Levy loves his deadline day deals... but this season it is looking pretty insane!

These are big names we are talking about, not a desperate filler for the season.

really excited! fingers crossed we get a few across the line. COYS!

*btw... anyone with a link to some transfer window closing countdown or something?

Not much. In no particular order:

Sessegnon may have had his medical today, or it may be off completely

Bruno Fernandes is reportedly booked in for a medical tomorrow, but it may all be a smokescreen for other deals, such as...

...Betis are still interested in selling us Lo Celso, at the right price...

...while Coutinho is being touted to us for a loan, while we remain non-commital - but both Levy and key Barca suits are in Miami, which may be a complete coincidence but everyone seemed to be running with it until...

...the world and his mother began reporting we've agreed a fee with Juventus for Paulo Dybala, having failed to agree a fee for anyone else in the last four weeks, which is possibly the most unbelievable element of the whole thing.

Oh, and we're also tracking a right back in case Aurier returns to PSG/France

I think that's everything. I lost track of Sessegnon amidst all the Iberians/South Americans, so there may be more (or less) going on there than I realised.

EDIT: And as nikojev says, Eriksen may be going to United as he appears to have burned his bridges here.
This is how every ITK thread of the day should end(y)

Well, some positive(ish) news today. Cheers again for the info chaps.

I've got a good feeling about Dybala and Lo Celso for some reason.

Something has to be announced Wednesday, right? They can't possibly leave all this until Thursday?!
I can see where Fulham and perhaps others would want the announcements on Thursday so that they can "explain" to their fans that this was the best that they could do and they took it to the wire.

Last night I was reading post after post going crazy that we were now going to pay over 30M and add Onomah to get Sessegnon when he would be free in a year. The numbers bandied about today are lower, and much more likely. Betis (though they appear to be pulling our chain - man how I'd like to see them have to take a lower offer from elsewhere in Europe because we got Dybala, Fernandes and Coutinho and had no need) would also have to accept way less than 88M to get us to play, Sporting too. Only Juventus have accepted openly and it is down to the player and side deals.

As regards Dybala, I think he'd be great. He just has too much competition for ball time since Ronaldo came in. His numbers show it. Coutinho, to me, always seemed an odd one for a team with Messi in it. If we brought in both, it provides instant competition and, dare I say, players who float in and out, may have to be far more efficient to get game time. Flicks and tricks are great, but you have got to pull them off more than not. Better still, both are likely to score more than one goal from a dead ball over three years, so there's that.

Lastly, and perhaps, ultimately the most meaningful result going forward, as the dominoes fall, Eriksen goes to ManU for less than we want, and perhaps, just perhaps, Pogba leaves. A motivated and performing on all cylinders Pogba scares me way more than Eriksen. Eriksen is very good. Pogba could be one of the best.

Now remember, all with a grain of salt until the player is holding the jersey on BBC.

Can't say we are not in for quality. Dybala (offer accepted by club), Coutinho (loan to buy discussions ongoing), LoCelso and Fernandes have agreed wage packets. Sessegnon, and perhaps brother, is quality with so much upside. And then there is Ndombele, what upside he possesses. Clarke also (in just a few performances this year) looks to be quality.

We are in for all the right players. It is now time for Levy to show that he can get these big deals over the line.

This year is sooooooooo important. Keep Arsenal below us and out of the CL, and be in it to win 4 competitions and this will indeed be a new Spurs in a new home.

Audere est facere. The time is nigh

I was honestly going to be happy with just keeping most of the team and adding Ndombele to replace Dembele.

If we pull off these signings it’s true next level stuff for us. I agree with the poster above who said players who float in and out will have to step up. Players like GLC, CE, Dybala will benefit from competition.

Also, if we sign players who draw markers & tackles, that makes space for others like Kane, Moura and Song. I’m truly excited!

COYS!
