A fit Lamela quality player is 50 mil in this market. If he wants to stay then selling him makes even less sense than keeping him. I'd be gutted if we sold him.

I'm open to selling any 2 of the 3 RBs as long as get a better one in.
I love Lamela too but the problem is he can rarely be relied upon. Last season he picked up numerous niggling injuries and couldn't even make the bench.

But we need players with his aggression and tenacity. I can see why Poch rates him!

But he’s rarely fit long enough to consistently impact on our progress over a season. It’s not his commitment, tenacity, technique or utility; it’s his reliability to be these things because of his injuries, and sadly this undermines us because a like for like injury free player would be better for us. If we sold him and reinvested in Lo Celso or similar, we’d have all the things Lamela can offer, but we’d have it all the time. It’s a no brainier

i never remember if dragon1 is allowed in here since hes not as itk as he once was, feel free to delete
dragon1: Lamela is not for sale , three right backs all are though , foyth will be one of the right backs next season and we are in market for another , Jansen willl not be leaving for 5 million ! He’s an international who scored bundles in Holland no team wil, get much change from 20 for him
If only all players values were based on their form from 3 seasons ago.

odd how KWP is for sale, only recently signed a long term deal, out of everything that Poch has done i find his use of KWP the most baffling

The Foyth info doesn’t surprise me. I see a lot of similarities with him to Sergio Ramos who was also a player earmarked to play CB but began his formative years at Madrid as a right back.

I think it will be great for his development before he slots in to central back and becomes one of the best defenders in world football.

Lamela is Poch’s boy, he’s an old school manager and having a solider who will run all day and do the job required keeps him valuable.

Assume KWP was renewed to protect the asset value if nothing else and with VJ we’re hoping some PL team with excess wonga will chuck 10-15 plus performances our way ie Palace, Villa, Soton, Newcastle etc?

Used to be top info on FTL years back
Used to get his info from Kemsley who was a real big mouth.
Since Kemsley sent packing and as he lives in LA his info is second or third hand at best, but he talks as if he knows whats going on.

I have always liked Lamela but he really has had a warm place in my heart since he stamped on fabregas' ankle then kicked him in the head when he was on the ground.:)

Imo the problem with Lamela, as good as he can be on his day, is that he's always injured WHEN we really really need him.
For that reason & that reason alone I'm out
