Couldn't agree more. He is world class, there's no doubt about that, but Arsenal have failed to address a single problem they have.

A signing purely to appease the fans - and the fans are absolutely loving it.

When you think about it... Is Ozil going to help them overcome Chelsea, ManU or ManC? Probably not.
Do they need him in order to overcome the weaker teams? Probably not.

He'll surely improve them. But I doubt he'll improve them as much as two appropriate £20m players might have done.

That said, whilst there's a good chance that Soldado and Lamela may prove to be more effective signings, there are more question marks over our buys. They haven't done anything yet and they don't have the pedigree of Ozil. We should be optimistic but not triumphal.

Anyone would have though that Arsenal had signed Bale.. they are getting Ozil as he would be third choice at RM.
Who will have the better season Ozil or one of our new signings? the odds are in our favour - my bet is on Lamela, but could easily be Eriksen, Soldado, Paulinho or Capoue.. that list is fucking awesome and I still can't quite believe these players are ours!

so it appears that we wont sign anyone else

we have a total net spend of near enough to zero

weren't we told to expect Joe to dig deep for transfers yet it appears he may have been used to finance them without actually dropping any more bikkies into the tin
