Massive step backwards if true, look at the comments from Kane last week about wanting to stay IF we don't stagnate as a club. Things could turn sour very quickly if Levy fucks things up again here, all for the sake of penny pinching.

I'm sure we all understand the constraints the club is under with the stadium build, but we also all know how flush all the clubs in league are with the new tv deal. The lack of ambition shown this summer has been pretty uninspiring given we have a pass to the champions league group stages, and we have one of our most settled sides for generations.

Surely now was the time to add someone of real star quality if they came available? Now was the time to have a real go?

Edit: oh and this is all exemplified by the whole moving of the goal posts with Batsy whatever his name is dude that went to Chelsea in the end.

A colleague has a friend who works at Luton Airport, (private jets), says sissoko just landed and is bring picked up by a spurs rep!

Given that Spurs use Stansted and RA has his private jet parked up at Luton i would say this is more likely to be signs of him going to Chelsea.

edit: ignore me, there's no way Levy is stumping up for a private jet, surely we managed to cobble together enough for an easyjet flight to Luton for Sissoko.

guys, we are not making anymore signings. Its just too late. But this tactic actually helps Levy because at the 11th hour no club will sell their best players for any price without a replacement.
So Levy can say well we tried but the other club wouldn't sell.

We haven't strengthened the first team in the slightest. Surely that's not up for debate? If everyone is fit and available our best first 11 is the same team from last season.

That's what bothers me. Yes our squad options are a bit better. But to me you should always be looking at ways to improve your starting team and we haven't done that.

Agree partially, but I think there is an argument to be made that we have a very young, tight team who will get better collectively by keeping the unit together.
