Would leave us in a much stronger position than we are now.

My more pressing concern, with our insistence on balancing the books, is where does the money for these transfers come from?

We can't realistically expect to make much money from selling Aurier, Sissoko, Wanyama and Vertonghen. We could probably add KWP and Rose into that mix as players likely to leave on permanent deals in summer, along with maybe one of Lamela or Lucas, but in reality I can't see those ~7 players bringing in anywhere near enough to cover those 4 acquisitions.
We are a very profitable business. We can afford to invest in the squad. Football clubs actually do that all the time...

That's fair enough, if he prefers them to stay then that's that. But I'm still not sure we can say for sure that it's to the detriment of a players career. Some managers play things one way, others take a different path. As you say, the cream will rise to the top and the worst you could say is that he may have stalled a career, certainly not ended any (not that anyone is suggesting that) :D

Who are you and what have you done with A&C?

Troy Parrot is 4 year contract, with option. I am not sure if option included in the 4 years. But defo option

Don’t know why Tanganga’s hasn’t been announced yet either

Cirkin-Jose massive on him, and impressing beyond his tender age training with first team. Interesting watch to see where LB search takes us or not

Nice to hear. All the kids won't succeed, but really like how Mourinho is handling this at the moment. Buying and targeting young players. Praising the academy and some of the young players. If Tanganga, Parrott and Cirkin can establish themselves in the squad over the next 2 years that would be huge.

Sounds to me like between Davies, Tanganga, Sessegnon, and Cirkin we're unlikely to be in the market for an LB in the summer.

I could see Cirkin going out on loan next season. Unless of course he does a Tanganga.

Would be odd to me relying on Tanganga there. Teams will start to adjust to us not having a proper left back if he stays there permanently. Perfect for him getting some experience playing there - it can only help him when he starts playing CD later, but it can't be more permanent than this spring in my opinion.

Davies who Mourinho clearly rates and Sessegnon is fine for me. Mourinho isn't mentioning Sessegnon as a attacking option any longer. I don't think Sessegnon will make it, but doesn't mean I don't think we should give him a proper shot at it. Hopefully he'll prove me wrong.

Tanganga will replace Vertonghen in my head. Bigger question is what we will do with Foyth or a new CD. Bring someone like KK in and Tanganga is suddenly a 4th choice CD.

Different managers play different styles Different players suit the different styles For example one player maybe good for Poch and not for Jose and vice versa
Age is only part of the factor
What I will say is that many that posters (not saying anyone specific vastly overates what a young non playing player can bring to the side Sessingnon is a good example of a very good young player yet playing to his true ability Parrot and others fit the same bill It is very difficult to play at the highest level against experienced players and be really good as soon as you get in the side There are always exception to the rule Its why loans do players good

haha

It isn't an exact science, we're talking about generally, but TBF I do remember you leading the calls for him to play two or three years ago.
Even Windy said he was surprised how good Tanganga looked in Preseason when Poch played him. I think Windy rated TJ higher than Tanganga. I think Poch was planning on playing him this year but it's hard to throw a kid in when your form is like it was early season.

Very disappointed TJ got such an uninspiring loan considering he was very much on the same development curve as Tanganga.
