My only hope is Kane knows how much pressure the board will be under if our favourite son was sold and is using that as leverage after not being filled with confidence from the message coming out of that meeting.
what was the message that came out of the meeting?

what was the message that came out of the meeting?

That the club doesn't feel it has made any mistakes recently, that we have a different DNA in how we focus on youth compared to other clubs, that our mentality is that spending money has no correlation with success and that no Champions League will affect how we do business in the summer.

And before anybody tries to debate me on those points, I'm only stating what was said in the meeting and discussing it within the context of Hercules ITK clearly stating that Kane is itching to leave after the meeting.

If your Kane you'd want to leave. We are a few years off from winning anything. Can't blame him. The only hope I fear is we are purchased by a Billionaire with ambition.

Well that's not good. If Kane gets sold then I can see it becoming extremely toxic at the stadium. Levy will be demanded to leave.

Anyway, who can afford him, Real Madrid? It would be simply the worst thing Levy has ever done if he sells Kane to a Premier League side.

Barca, Juventus, Madrid, United. Can see Madrid going for Haaland though.

I cant see Barca going for him, wrong type of player for them. Juve & Madrid yeah I can see, however if Levy did sell to a Premier League side then I would be right at the front of the Levy Out rallies outside the stadium.

See your reaction is what makes me hope that Kane is aware of the power he wields and is trying to exert some pressure to get some reassurances that we are going to turn the ship in the right direction.

I really hope so too mate. It sounds mad, but Kane is Tottenham. He is the home grown, Spurs supporter who has worked his way to the very top. He epitomises everything I loved about our Pochettino side with their hard work, steely nature, and will to win!

For us to sell him, then it would signal the end of ENIC for us, and things could get really nasty I believe, if Levy sold Kane & then only spent £75m in trying to replace the 7 players we have lost since that Poch side in: Rose, Walker, Vertonghen, Dembele, Wanyama, Eriksen & Kane.

Last thing, if Kane goes, then say goodbye to Sonny.

Disappointing though. Real disappointing. Definitely not the right time when his team mates were out in the field trying to win a match just so he can take part in the later stage like last season where he became a definite starter in the final.

I hated it when Walker talked about leaving when we were exiting the FA Cup, IIRC. I really hate it now that if Kane really talked about leaving before or during the match last night.

It's okay mate, we'll buy the next Harry Kane and don't forget we have Troy Parrott. It'll be fine.

I look forward to the next set of minutes, they should do it more often if these are the kinds of rewards we get from them!

If this is true (...let's hope not) and it pains me to say it, but haven't we seen how this story unfolds before? When a player wants out it's usually already over.

With the benefit of hindsight Eriksen should have been sold as soon as he made clear he wanted out / wouldn't sign a new contract.

The only silver lining here is that Harry is one of our own and I have a hard time seeing ever downing the tools and start sulking. But if he's not 100% committed it's just prolonging the agony as he'll eventually leave anyway.

Guess it's time to get real and accept that we're in for one painful rebuild.

Oh FFS.

I completely understand why he'd consider leaving given lack the of ambition from above, current style of play, no European football.

But it would be gutting. Absolutely gutting.

He could have at least give Mourinho one more season. So hard to believe he is throwing in the towel and call it quits.
