I would imagine the rest of the deals are dependent on outgoings which is why it's a little more quiet today?
I agree with this. As the ITK said COVID 19 has had a very negative impact on our finances, understandably so. Going forward Jose and the Board have to be sensible and prudent, therefore things will take time, especially as other clubs are also feeling the effects

Or, it's just a bit quiet because things are steadily going along & transfers will happen when they happen?!

The Højbjerg deal was also dependent on an outgoing it seems, so I’m not surprised if that’s how it’s gonna pan out for other signings, hence the lack of ITK as of yesterday. Meaning this thread should be quiet.

It's about that time in the transfer window, when we start hearing about our cheeky little overdraft being activated

Bit different. There was a vested interest on both sides where I fully expect they didn't want to sell before getting KWP, and we didn't want to sell before getting PEH.

If we have interest in anyone who is still involved in competitive games then anything further will be delayed by that. There's also a usual transfer ferris wheel waiting to spin that could be started by any of the high profile transfers that don't seem to be moving quite yet.

I love that we’ve spent £3m and Levy’s declared us skint

I think 'Skint' is a relative term. Bear in mind the number of events that were booked in to the stadium for the summer, it was reasonable, before the pandemic, for the club to expect that extra money and plan for it. Then it all went wrong .... for most!

Guns & Roses and a needlework show?

If I remember correctly there was also an electronic games event, a boxing match and another music show, but I can't remember who!

It was Lady Gaga, who will pull a bigger crowd than Guns and bloody Roses. But she's moved to next year now

This is all really rather interesting.

Watching the thread go further and further off topic, the latest 'thing' being events at the stadium that may or may not have scheduled/cancelled, who is the more popular musician and so on. One wonders where it'll go next. What obscure 'facts' will be trawled up as you allow yourselves to plummet deeper and deeper into what we like to call in the mod trade 'the shit'. My money is on that. Money. Soon you'll be talking about how much each event missed is costing the club. If you haven't already. But who knows? This could literally go anywhere.

But the most interesting thing of all is.........who will be first to stop and think 'uh-oh'..........or indeed if that particular switch gets flicked in any of your heads any time soon.

Another interesting aspect is the 'need' to make such a post. You surely know it's off topic, how does that work? How do you square it away? Do you even bother? Is the need SO great that you think 'it's only one post' A&C won't mind. Then the next guy does that then the next and look at where we are.

Or is it the couldn't give a fuck theory? Do you think 'fuck it, he won't ban me'. Or maybe it's like extreme sports and you get a rush out of the danger. There are so many possibilities. None of which end without you looking thicker than a bowl of Bison snot.

Anyway, don't mind me, you crack on.

the only one done so far was, as well, wasn’t it?

the deals will be dependent as always on Levy’s valuations of players and structuring of deals

Jose will also have a say, for eg at RB where a more defensive option needs to be brought in - with the offensive option dependent on whether Serge goes or not? Unless Tang is being groomed to be the defensive option I spose

That's what I meant, I feel from the info around that it'll be a one in and one out type of window. Until we've at least sorted out Jose's main areas of concern and I hold hope levy will pull out a rabbit from his hat on deadline day as it's been a while.

D1 regarding Dybala

I can tell you this last summer a deal was done and I mean done , the player even prepared a leaving video for juve fans

the deal did not fall apart to naming rights but his agent pulling a last min stunt which we could not abide by

if juve are in financial trouble which bearing in mind Ronaldo and Ramsey’s wages alone I strongly suspect then stranger things have happened

unlike bale who we have never got close to because of wages we have here so I think we have some chance

One part of me: Wooohoooooo!

Other part of me: Membership and season ticket renewals are obviously down - let's create a false excitement.
