D1 regarding Dybala

I can tell you this last summer a deal was done and I mean done , the player even prepared a leaving video for juve fans

the deal did not fall apart to naming rights but his agent pulling a last min stunt which we could not abide by

if juve are in financial trouble which bearing in mind Ronaldo and Ramsey’s wages alone I strongly suspect then stranger things have happened

unlike bale who we have never got close to because of wages we have here so I think we have some chance

This will not happen. I would bet my bottom dollar on it. Not a chance

I'd prefer Bale to Dybala but don't think either will happen unless Uncle Joe realizes he is in his 80's and decides to bank roll a spending spree to see us actually win something before is passes on to the other side..

unfortunately suspect Pochettino being sold may be a problem...that and the money

Even if through some miracle we signed Dybala, it wouldn't happen without selling N'Dombele.

Which would still give me some 'What could have been' vibes given if we had signed Dybala last summer we would have had both playing for us, as well as Lo Celso!

What makes no sense to me with this "stunt" is what could it possibly be that was so heinous we couldn't abide by it but that we would be willing to do business again this summer.

I'm probably taking a risk saying this but I always find it convenient that the information always stops short of mentioning what actually happened which is the exact thing that happened with Alderweireld where he supposedly disrespected the club and it's mother to the point where we were told he had to go only for him to be given a whopping new deal.

We missed our chance. Simple.
Happened with Fernandez and now it’s happened with Dybala. At least it sounds like it wasn’t silly beggars from our end.
PD is looking likely to leave Turin this summer but it will now be for a Man City or Real Madrid.
I’m afraid it’s another case of the one that got away.
my hope is that with Jose, this is less likely to happen in the future.

I'd imagine the agent suddenly increased the wage or signing-on fee demands at the last minute, or tried to add a clause to the contract. Given that Levy loves that sort of trick himself, I can't imagine he would be happy with someone doing it to him.

Yeah that does sound logical, I wouldn't call that a stunt though. I'd love for this to happen though but you can't see it can you.

Dybala's goals/assists video for 2019/20 is the absolute sex.

How different things could have been.

And yes I appreciate he's playing with CR7, but here he'd play with the epicness of HK10.

Nothing in Dragon1's itk suggest Spurs are actively trying to do anything related to Dybala or put out news to build up false excitement that they are. Only confirming that we did come close last summer. The rest is entirely speculation about whether or not we would try again.
Suggesting that someone will buy season ticket because one player is signed or linked with us when we have >100k people in waiting list is laughable too.

Please leave your logic at the front door on the way in. Thank you.

We have a restricted budget and as per ITK we’ve been told most of our targets are already in the media and they cost between £10-20m. We’re also not to expect any big signings as Covid has knackered our budget. How any of this equates to signing Dybala for €60-90m is beyond me.

The only potential scenario is in the 2nd bit of info Dragon1 gave - i.e. Ndombele going the other way in return.
