That's right. He knows Bent, and got his ITK reputation because he held out for him coming to us when everyone else was saying he was nailed on for the Spammers. Everything else he's posted needs treating with extreme caution, though. That said, one assumes that the 'someone' he's referring to is Bent, so I wouldn't dismiss this out of hand as he must still maintain contact with our players. You certainly don't have to be ITK to figure that Dawson at least must be one unhappy bunny

Yes, its not at all inconceivable that Bent would have contact with the likes of Dawson, Jenas, Huddlestone etc and if they were to express their own personal opinions about their situations its not impossible that Bent would know about this and ITK likely to have come from Bent can hold some weight potentially

I hope this ITK is wrong but I do fear it is correct and the Dawson thing has not helped AVB much and the press are really trying to get at him with the Lloris thing

Indeed. Players unhappy about not being in manager's plan. Hardly earth-shattering stuff. We saw even more extreme examples at the beginning of the summer with more than one player having a whinge in the media about H.

Whether or not it has been handled with kids gloves, who knows. It would be unfortunate (and hardly a positive in AVB's favour) if the situation has been clumsily dealt with, especially when the players concerned have been here for many yrs, but not sure where the impending doom is in all of this. A bit of common courtesy is never a bad thing but hardly a disaster.

AVB will ultimately be judged on results, whatever the timeline turns out to be, and not whether or not Jenas or Dawson or whoever is in their "happy place".

Just like the ITK back then that listed the laundry list of complaints these millionaire players had about their lives - being the very centre of the universe and all - it's to be expected. I'd be worried if everyone was hunky dory tbh. Fat and happy.

The whole Dawson thing has been astonishingly badly handled, though. You make a big public deal of him being club captain and next thing try and offload him, then freeze him out before performing a whiplash-inducing U-turn? What was AVB thinking of? It's an absolute gift to the media pack.

Absolutely. Highlights one of his flaws, which the press won't conveniantly ignore for the Spurs manager this time. As I think most of us realise, AVB has more mistakes in him. He's bound to. I think, or maybe desperately hope anyway, that his major gaffs came down the road.

Anyways, this is all on DL now. The press will leap on anything, and so will the fans who didn't want H gone or AVB as the replacement or both - those that haven't reconcilled this and moved on anyway. Ultimately, it's up to DL if he pusses out. Again. Hopefully, AVB will try and smooth things over in the next couple of weeks. Certainly regarding Daws anyway. Doesn't come across as the prima donna type. The polar opposite in fact so a major bollock has been dropped.

Yes, where are they? Did the Agent_itk mass outing have teeth? I am sure JJ promised a blow by blow account of the stuff he couldn't say during the window. Did I miss it? (work started again for me on 31st and there have been enough meltdowns to keep me busy there!)

So; was speaking to someone yesterday (no names but I guess you all know who I mean) and have been told that Daws is mightily pissed off, was told by AVB he would play major part in this years team although rotation was being introduced, he would be club captain, then told club had accepted a bid from QPR, no reason given, he id going to Sunderland in January, would have gone in the last transfer window but O'Neill didn't have the cash !!!!

Huddlestone, Jenas and Defoe have been treated similarly, and before you say Defoe has signed a new contract, that is Levy, can ask more for him if he sells due to length of contract remaining.

VdV would have stayed had it not been made obvious to him that Gylfi was going to be first choice for the one position, not even a "Gylfi and you will be fighting for the same position."

Players out on loan won't be coming back, Bentley is so happy, not bothered about looking for another club, happy just to take the money.

Depressing reading whichever way you take it.

Yes, it was posted in the Roberts thread, but it wasn't exactly relevant to it. When HH says, 'I guess you all know who I mean', he means Bent, no question. It may be shit-stirring, it may not be 100% on the money, but it's nothing to do with Roberts.
