Assuming we sign Soldado (or any established striker), we will have 29 players over the age of 21 next season. We need to reduce this to 25. With 14 home-grown players, we are still fine on that front.

1. Lloris
2. Friedel
3. Gomes
4. Kaboul
5. Vertonghen
6. Dawson (HG)
7. Caulker (HG)
8. Walker (HG)
9. Naughton (HG)
10. Smith (HG)
11. BAE
12. Rose (HG)
13. Sandro
14. Dembele
15. Paulinho
16. Holtby
17. Sigurdsson (HG)
18. Huddlestone (HG)
19. Parker (HG)
20. Livermore (HG)
21. Lennon (HG)
22. Townsend (HG)
23. Bale (HG)
24. Soldado
25. Adebayor
26. Defoe (HG)
27. Chadli
28. Falque
29. Dempsey

You feel Gomes will definitely be leaving: 28
Then either Naughton is sold or Smith is loaned out: 27
McCarthy could be brought in, seeing Hudd, Parker and Livermore sold: 25
I expect either Dempsey to be sold, or Falque loaned out: 24
Any other players sold would have a like-for-like replacement.

24 is a large enough squad, with room to buy a player/bring a player back from loan in the January window.

Lots of you are saying you would like to see an LB after we get a striker. I personally think that we should see how Rose and Benny play in pre-season, knowing they both have competition now. In my opinion Rose has something to offer us, and we should let him show it.

On the post two above,

Gomes, Livermore, Parker and Huddlestone are the ones that we can definitely afford to lose. Then you have players like Naughton, Adebayor, Defoe, and Dempsey that it might make sense to let 1-2 of them go if we can strengthen those positions. If Danny Rose is going to start it might also make sense to let BAE go. Falque I have no idea. If he's good enough maybe he should stay and be an option on the wing for Sigurdsson does not have to play wide (Townsend, Lennon, Chadli, Falque).

Falque did very well for UD Almeira on loan - helping them get promoted to La Liga from their second division.Heard he had some great games for them with their fans praising him. I can see him being loaned out again in Laliga or even be sold if price is right. I am not sure if he will be with us this season.

Yes, but only because i've got another one for you :D

A new signing, but not a new face, will be announced soon. And in the middle there's two mORe years.

In the middle of more - OR = SandrO Ranieri

I think someone solved it but not how it was meant to be solved.

Drunk again, Goat?

I seem to remember that when we were sat in that barn, me tenderly stroking your... hairy.... ummm... chin... you told me that the "And" - i.e. in the middle of 'Sandro' - was indeed crucial to the clue. As speculated by Scutch and then GilzeanTheKing (and others)..?

Of course, the 'or' thing was supposed to be capitalised in your clue, but with the way i was stroking your.... chin... I can understand you forgetting.

Either way, that was a fun 23 pages, eh? I particularly liked the "well it's obviously Bale" in addition to the fact that literally every single cryptic clue ever posted can be turned into Leandro Damaio. :D

not true. Its a shameful rumor started by a so called Spus fan @theboyhotspur
Ignore

And that's just one reason that we refuse to link or discuss anything that vile **** of a person ever says or does. Self-obsessed, narcissistic prick of the highest order. Anyone associated with him, from visiting his site or following him or Twitter, should be ashamed of themselves. He's a nasty bit of work.

Am siting at my work desk & day dreaming.....

If that angry shrek leaves United
If Napoli buys Higuain & RM buys Suarez
If we land Soldado today
....

Seriously - we can get past United let alone Arsenal.

I hope Levy & Baldini put that signature on papers and recruited the Soldier for Totenham Army...

I think I might have pointed out that and is in the middle of Sandro (if you, erm, ignore the r), and therefore I demand my free Tottenham Jester hat and a reach around from a mod of my choosing.

Soldado looking good, fingers crossed we have found our clinical striker and done all our main business before August. Chadli looks exactly the sort of wide attacker/goals from wing we have wanted and Paulinho a great mix of everything we need in a midfielder.

I really get the impression that we have really done our homework here and have very specifically tartgeted the types of payer we have been saying we need for a few seasons. Personally I would be quite happy if that were the extent of our incomings this window.

Anyone else would be a welcome bonus but may restrict the chances for our talented youngsters so not really that bothered if this is our squad for start of the season (provided Soldado happens, of course).

I am getting the same feelings looking at posts of our potential first 11 and bench that I get when I look at Holly Willoughby.:X3:

Just spent some of my valuable time going through all songs from this dude Sanchez to see if he would have one with something even remotely connected to a name of a footballer we could be after.

Rosemarie, Jude, Joanna, Jah or Jesus are potential signings then...

God damn furry 4 legged fucker

I'm sure you've missed some other players off of the squad list as it currently stands. Obika, Dawkins and Mason off the top of my head. There is a thread in Spurs Chat about it.

See now here we have someone who doesn't rush up to the latest piece of ITK and start humping its ankles. Read it all, digest it, think about it, then go away and think about it some more. Don't just pick out the names and assume it's a done fucking deal or something.

Seriously, time after time you do it to yourselves and then go batshit at the ITK for offering it up in the first place. It's not their faults, it's yours.

can i just also say however, if we are now confirming that Sanchez is the cryptic, that i threw this out there a few days ago as someone that was high on AVB's lists of desirables, but we accepted it might not be possible. It was pooh poohed by everyone at the time and my source is not verified but interesting that someone else is saying it now

To be fair about Alexis, someone did put him secound on our/AVB's list of winger targets the other day... If I remember correctly it was
1) Lamela
2) Alexis/Bernard
3) Chadli
I don't know how that reacts to anything but it does mean there is something in the Alexis rummer... Still don't see how we could ever afford him, but it would be amayzing. He is such a fantastic player and one I am a very keen admirer of.

yeah that was me

They don't count because they aren't realistically going to contribute anything, unfortunately.

I would be really surprised if we are after Alexis now that Chadli is on board, my one fear is if we are going for Alexis is that would it mean we might be getting big offer for Bale? I hope not. What would Alexis cost, around 30mil? No chance unless, as I say, the unthinkable happens...

Or would he be an alternative to say Bernard, albeit a more expensive alternative, doesn't make sense.

Well, thing is that Rose is actually somewhat similar to BAE in the sense that even though he was a winger he offers little going forward and has a pretty dismal End product. If we're really playing 4-3-3 (not sure we will) we'll def need attacking full backs on both sides...

Have you sent a PM with details of your source to anyone? If not, please do.
