If Rebrov was 'average' then god only knows what you think about the rest of the 2000-2001 squad!
I had the pleasure of that Graham/Hoddle season ..... the one when we failed to score in 16 of 38 league matches.
I felt Rebrov was on a different level to his team-mates .... the runs he made rarely picked up ... the passes he made into space rarely anticipated.
Kind of scary when you start thinking about a players career this way. Careers can be made or destroyed by the players around you, the man managing you and a whole host of other things out of your control. Imagine we'd had another couple of good creative players behind Rebrov, he got great service and banged goals in for two seasons straight, his value goes up further, the massive clubs circle...... Just like that his career could've been so different. Would have been very different for us the fans as well !
