Because some italian journo who writes about 50 stories a day has said he has said no to us. So everyone is on suicide watch
am hoping that story is wrong as well. Seems the Journo who is quoted as source is a Milan based one -who were the previous bidders for Halilovic.

Since this was JJ info,I guess we should probably wait to hear from JJ for the latest...

I think Benteke will be a very hard deal to pull off without spending a lot of money, and you have to wonder whether there are better value deals around considering he's only had one season in the Premiership.

He did look pretty special last season, but for over 20m we'd have to be pretty certain he's the real deal.

Is it confirmed its HP then, wasn't there ITK to suggest AirAsia or something? Forgive me if I've missed anything, heavy weekend. Hopefully be a good deal, bummer if we fluffed up (does that count?)
Its not confirmed officially. But fact is Autonomy our current shirt sponsors was bought by HP (6.6bn dollar deal) last year. ITKs say we stay with them for our shirt sponsors.

Came to london to spend time with his good friends demb and verts. As they have first day of training tomorrow they decided to pre stock their lockers with waffles and decided to show him around. All totally innocent.

Of course. And after the tour the three of them went down to Belgo's to tuck into moules and frites and get shitfaced on Westmalle Trippel.

It's not much of a leap to suggest that Vertonghen or Dembele or both are friendly with Benteke, and said 'come and have a look at the training ground, it's ace.' whilst he was in town.
These are sports guys, they probably went and pulled muscleman poses together for an hour or two.

Enic owned a portion of autonomy. Any chance this is where our spending spree is coming from?

Can we stop with the "plausible reasons for Benteke (or anyone else) to be shown round the Training Ground" and just accept that if its being done without the clubs (Aston Villa) consent, then we are hippocritical and as bad as Madrid/Man U/Everyone else as we are tapping up players.

If we have consent, jobs a good un, and we practice what we preach.

But righteous anger is our thing. Sometimes it's all we have.

JJ pretty much revealed the other player was Benteke but told us not to get excited because we did the same with Willian last season!
Wasn't willian shown around by AVB without telling DL etc. Would AVB do the same with Benteke? Or would he clear it with DL?

Haha my thoughts exactly mate! JJ was on here yesterday if he had rejected us I would have expected him to say so. His last info was that it was close and im positive :) I'd believe JJ's info over some italian journo.

I put something along the same lines in the player thread this morning. The better ITK's are generally a whole lot more reliable than some media sensationalism. ITK has no ulterior motive than to pass on in good faith any info fans may be interested in, no fee or wage in it. Alternatively, a journo who gets paid to sell papers etc, so dramatises they're articles to pull in readers.
Lets just wait and see of we get more ITK or an official announcement with legitimate quotes from one or all of the parties involved.

Autonomy was basically bankrupt when they were bought by HP, and there is a big law suit ongoing (or maybe it is already finished) because HP claims that Autonomy cooked their books big time.

So the idea that we are putting lots of money into Autonomy so that it can flow to our coffers is probably wrong...

In regards to the Nacer Chadli ITK it seems like a sensible signing to make. He big, strong, quick with good technique so should fit well with our style of play. He is also entering the last year of his contract so the fee will be reasonable.

Wrong end, enic got money from the sale as they had invested money into autonomy.

Hmmm...Holtby City/Dan Ashcroft called him a 'Stewart Dowing' type, although I'm more inclined to agree with you from what I have seen.
