eh? Niko maybe as he was under utilized, but the rest?

Pletikosa has said moving to Spurs was a mistake. Niko heavily criticized Levy after moving away. Corluka was not happy but that might had more to do with Harry? Luka hasn't said anything, but I would guess he wasn't too pleased with Levy stopping his "dream move" to Chelsea and "forcing" him to stay.

I'm just guessing though, and I might be wrong.

Edit: I used to follow a croatian soccer blog, and almost every writer/commentator seemed to really dislike Spurs for the way Pletikosa, Corluka and Niko were treated and us "standing in the way" regarding Lukas move to Madrid. I just wondered if these feelings are common if you ask other croatian players too, and not just fans.

I'd be inclined to agree. Asking ex players generally isn't a good selling point.

Especially when they were held hostage or frozen out.

Wasn't that because he thought we should let him go for 50p? I'd have thought his and Charlie's beef would have been with Harry rather than the club.

I hope we get Benteke, I really do. I'm convinced he'd do brilliantly for us, but much more importantly if AVB is convinced, which he obviously is, then we need to go for it.

What's important is AVB getting in who he wants, let Levy worry about sorting out the fee.

This is key. At the end of the day, it's not our money. why sholud we worry about the fee. It's not our money. If DL pays it, hes convinced. If he doesn't, he doesn't think it's worth the risk or we cannot afford it.

What I don't understand about some fans on here and in general is that they were over the moon on Saturday, spending 17m on a midfielder who has never played in the PL before, yet are moaning that we may pay up to 25m on a young striker, who in my opinion has it all, scored for fun in the PL so has the experience. Pauline, who I am very happy with, surely provides a greater risk that Benteke with not having PL experience, no?

As you said on the other thread either offer the correct money or move on. I don't believe Beneteke is a serious target for us because I don't think Levy is prepared to pay anywhere near the asking price for a guy who has one good season in the prem.

...and as I said earlier, he has paid 17m for a player who has had no good seasons in the PL!
