Would worry me if Adebayor was on such a big contract. With that type of money, we can get someone far younger with more potential who would have resale value even if we splashed a big fee.

Indeed. I'd hope it was clearly defined as £100k wages. Gt it out there. The extra 50K would come out of a hefty signing bonus but basic wages of £150K. We'd be setting a trend right thur!

We were signing him then those cockmunchers - who do not have transfer policies of their own and merely look to see who other clubs are signing - stepped in and said: "Coutois, mother Russia will pay 5 million rupees for your services". And so he went to them

HappySpur is very UnHappySpur about this post and the news it contains. I have decided to take up cat punching as a result. It's a nasty business as I am a very big sissy, so will only punch kittens to be fair. But I need an outlet and my cocktail of medicines is not enough for this.

So come here whiskers.....daddy has something for you.

*Punch*

but who cried?

It was me.

I cried.

I said I was a sissy. What did you expect?

The vast majority of ITK is pointing towards 100k a week, with the deficit of his Citeh wages being paid in a signing on fee... I wouldn't let that piece of ITK worry you. (y)

Aye. But a real kick in the nuts eh? Would have been a great signing. It's one of those deals that will stick in my craw for yrs. chelsea find new levels of suck with such ease. It's frightening at this point.

Seems Levy is essentially amortizing what a "market rate" transfer fee would be over a number of years via higher wages.

There has never ever been a problem with AVB talking the good fight........................actually doing it is another matter all together.
One thing for sure though..........if we have to sack him at Xmas,it will be the lowest severance package in football history.

I believe we will be paying Adebayor £150k a week. At the minute it looks like we are willing to pay a player £100k a week with the new Bale contract and to make up the £7.2m that Adebayor would be losing (assuming he signs 3 year deal) we simply pay him that sum spread over 3 years. Considering we look like we are getting a £15m striker for £5m we are not losing out at all. I don't think there will be any sort of issues with the squad, that he is getting a lot more, as you need to bare in mind that Adebayor gives a massive amount of his wages to charity.

Yo, Adrian.

ADRIAN.

ADRIANNNNN!

Cant see Atletico selling us Adrian. grat player, young, been linked woth Barcelona. Wouldnt think we have a chance.

The front page also says Madrid have asked Luka to pressure Spurs to reduce the fee. Looks as though they didnt hear what happened to Chelsea last summer.

Easy: YOU PAY, IF NOT, HE STAY!!

VDV would not go to the Middle East. He's not that type of player.
Besides, wouldn't that make it really difficult for Sylvie to commute to her work in Germany??

I haven't read the article, but I think any player (any human being) would consider it due to the insane wages they pay over there.

Cue Daily Mail - 'Could Vav Der Vaart be an alien?' story when nothing comes of this story then.

I think he would be. Would be a good signing if it happened. A very good signing, imo.

Haven't seen much of him. He a wide forward in a 433?

Adrian was always a shy person before falling in love with and marrying Rocky. Her meek demeanor began to wear off after the birth of their only son, and although she has always been a crucial source of love and support for Rocky, it wasn't until later ordeals that she became a more assertive person, confidently and honestly helping Rocky cope with his oftentimes difficult feelings, and giving him the motivation to go the distance in his training, and his fights. She was always an important part of Rocky's life, in and outside of the ring. Most of the time, Rocky's heart wasn't in the right place without Adrian's advice or support.

So yeah, probably a wide forward in a 433.
