BEN is saying that enic are trying to sell to americans as soon as the new stadium is confirmed [plans, they dont actually want to build it] and that they want out. twitter though so not sure if can be posted in here or if this is the right thread for it anyway

This contradicts with the increasing role Josh Levy is taking and DL's dynasty plans. Lewis' daughter is also apparently quite keen on becoming more involved when JL takes a step back.

The only Premier League club to spend less than Spurs in this transfer window was Southampton.

Perhaps the ITK on possible new ownership may have been a factor.

Thoughts?

Probably my last bit of info for this window. The new guys looked great in training. Fazio strong as a Ox. Stambouli super sharp and confident. Sorry that's literally all I've been told.

Cheers Breeze. Tbh one of the most consistent and quality ITK's of the window. (y)

Cheers mate. @sloth raises some very strong arguments and I agree with a lot of what he says, but I feel strongly in my right to air my criticisms and frustrations with the board's transfer activity in recent years.

Interestingly THST announced today they are going to ask the board for more transparency as a way of giving aggrieved fans more of an idea of what is truly going on. Would be great if it could happen (never gonna though) as we are all just speculating really, differing opinions come from our varying levels of faith in the board on certain matters...
IF the club answers the call(doubtful, the PR team is beyond abysmal), all they'll say is the standard "We are moving the club forward and making as the stadium process moves along, the club is not effected yadda yadda yadda Champions League yadda yadda yadda" line. That said, I highly doubt there will be any kind of transparency from the club.

Was there not earlier ITK from a random that also alluded to the club being in early talks/negotiations with possible buyers. I think it's inevitable really, I just hope that when it does happen that we actually get bought by someone at least semi respectable who looks after the club.

Hey Ho... wraps that up till January

Biggest shame was this thread just didn't have the humor from other years. Always been full of nutters and over reactions (mine included) but I've had less laughs. Wasn't even that much of a disappointing window compared to some (Loosing Berbatov and gaining Campbell comes to mind - now that was worth a winge)

Cheers for the ITk , Stoof and all for putting it on and A&C for trying to keep it running.

Every summer there is ITK/Rumours/Info that we are selling. ENIC have been selling the club since the day after they bought it.

We've been bottom of the spend league for 6 years in a row now. It's just the stadium

Or the deal's structured so that Levy maintains a stake in the new business and stays on as chief exec.

I think I'm right in saying that Levy himself owns a large stake in the club directly himself, either that or a large portion of shares in the company that owns our club. Was in reward for doing such a sterling job I believe, or a result of the very suspicious 'share issues' that we're common before being taken off the public sector monitoring and stock exchange.

Not really sure you are quite aiding your cause
I sincerely hope that running a football club is not exactly like placing a bet on a coin toss. All though on some days, I do wonder.

To save myself a sarky comment from @Bus-Conductor I won't say what I do for a living, but suffice to say if you're going to gamble knowing the true value of a bet is crucial to winning over the long term.

He's just being modest, he's dying to tell you.

@JJetset or @TrickyVilla or AliZ or any of the other ITK bods.

Now it's all over and Musaccio looks well and truly off the agenda, can any of you guys shed any light on what the actual problem was with this deal ?

From what I gather it was the fact that Villarreal wanted more money and the only way they could is if another party gave up their share in the player but no one was willing to do it and we weren't going to spend (considerably) more than £17million.

I could be wrong though.
