Schneirderlin needs to threaten to score own goals, that will push the deal over the line.

Didn't Gallas do this before leaving Chelsea?

Personally, I don't really want the player kicking up too much of a stink. It's bad press for him and for us. He wants to leave so he should just hand in a transfer request and let the clubs get on with negotiating a price.

What is Michael Vaughan's track record as an ITK?

I bet its a bit...hit and miss?? *drum roll*

Anyway, if Schneiderlin has moved out of his home and has to stay in a hotel, Soton must have led him to believe he'd be joining us, in which case he has every reason to be severely hacked off.

I wouldn't be against sending the likes of Bentaleb, Mason and Kane to Southampton on loan If it meant we could pull this deal over the line; they would improve at a good club.

Blackpool have more first team players than Saints.................

If I was ever a professional football player, I'd loved to have done that at some stage.

"And after 4 own goals, the manager has finally managed to drag him off the field..."

But no. After this, it's let him leave and get money or let him not play football at all.

Has it occurred to anyone that the tipping point may well be the fact that it's us trying to buy Schneiderlin ? They can't be too chuffed with us for nicking their manager.

I think that the tipping point is more than likely that Levy won't meet their inflated valuation of their players unlike the moronic scousers.

It's the football food chain. We've had to learn to accept it, as have many clubs in lower leagues. Unless you're at the very top, there will always be shit like this.

And even then it's still possible:-

C.Ronaldo from Man Utd
Figo from Barca

Ok Real Madrid are the exception that proves the rule...

Haha he's actually claimed to have an ITK source he calls roger the rum man. There's quite a few daft ones on twitter from him including Ronaldo being close to joining United last summer.

Doesn't help that he turns up in a clapped out old Ford Escort with a bag of fifties saying, no worries, cushty, have a bang on that.

Not for me. Think its all talk, trying to portray a tough stance knowing full well players would throw their toys out...taking the heat off themselves.

They're asset stripping, they're only interested in getting top dollar they're just trying to reduce some of the abuse.

Real Madrid and Barca are top dogs and, as shown with the Figo transfer, Madrid are probably bigger than Barcelona.
