Despite saying in his presser he’d prefer to have a striker.

He might be able to live with not having one. But I find it a bit of a stretch that he Is happy.

But that’s ‘cos you’re not happy. And you’re projecting.

I'm usually pro Enic and Levy and this window couldn't be called a disaster, we shipped out some deadwood and made 2 potentially excellent signings. But you can't tell me there isn't a single available striker in world football who would be an improvement on Lucas ghosting through 90 minutes. It's rubbish to be honest.
There’s at least 3 in the squad already to be fair

As for next summer, there are loads of games inbetween and when things don't work on pitch, there will be unrest on dressing room. Hope Jose can handle it and relationship between Jose and Daniel doesn't turn sour.

So the Telegraph has linked us to some bloke we've never heard of from China, and we made a bid for Ighalo too. If that doesn't tell you that Mourinho was desperate for a striker then what does? We have failed him.
Or it’s paper talk and utter bollocks. Definitely one or the other

I think we can view this window as a positive one to be honest. Got rid of the two biggest wantaways and added two players Jose actually wanted. Just a shame they weren’t in the positions that needed serious addressing. Think we have to accept the rebuild is going to take longer than one winter window and our long term future isn’t going to depend on signing any old ageing journeyman to stick up top for a few months. First time we’ve ended a window with the squad feeling refreshed for ages so let’s focus on what we do have rather than what we don’t ??.

Well I’ve scrolled down as far as U19 reach plate final still can’t find anything about us signing Bale.
:-/
Who knew have no money to buy players would come home to roost again?

I’m not so gutted about today, we all knew even scrapping the loan barrel was going to be tough :-s
But who knows where we’d be if we would have invested properly three years ago.

I highly doubt the Telegraph are going to make up that we tried for a striker that probably 5% of SC have heard of.

Sure okay. Another way for BSODL to fall for the claptrap that Jose is happy. Not knocking the info btw, just that it stinks of PR. The point i'm trying to make is, if Jose was reluctant to sign a striker for the sake of it, then how do you explain us trying for Ighalo and some fella we've never heard of in the dying minutes? They were prime targets all along i'm guessing? If so, then why didn't we get them weeks ago?

The argument only holds if we don't seem to be trying to get virtually anyone in over 6ft doesn't it?

Oh fuck me I wish we had of signed a 30yo player who has been in China for 3 years on £300k a year, fuck you Levy, fuck you why did you not push the boat out to sign such an asset. Fuck you Levy, fuck you, you missed such an asset.

Josh King would have been more astute.

@dtxspurs instead of dohing would you have been happy with signing him? If so why? The rating shows exactly why you have missed the entire point of why we didn’t sign anyone.
