Good morning everyone

Sorry this is a bit late, had a bit of a domestic with Mrs A&C. We'd been to a funeral yesterday and this morning, as she does, she was still banging on about how it went etc etc. She asked me where i'd like to be buried and apparantly responding by saying "up to the nuts in your sister" isn't the way forward.

HAVE YOU DONATED THIS MONTH/YET/AT ALL?

As you all know, SC relies on your donations to be able to provide a unrivalled coverage of ITK, if it wasn't for you guys, the server would crash left right and centre and we simply couldn't afford to be as awesome and sexy as I am, I mean we are.

In the summer transfer window we ran a poll asking when people thought we'd sign Benteke. The poll got an astonishing number of votes, over 600 of you took part.

Six bloody hundred. And that's just the yokes who bothered voting. Whichever way you slice it that's a lot. If everyone slung just three or four quid in the pot we'd be sorted for quite a while, so if you've never donated before, please consider doing so now.

Now, when it's donation drive time, which it is i'm afraid, where are you? *Goes all Delia* where aaaaare yoooooou? Let's be having youuuuuuu!

I reckon we've about 500 or more lurkmeisters, so come on guys, if you're one of them and you enjoy SC's coverage of the Transfer Window (and lets face it, you do because you're here right?), then please chip in.

But A&C, where does the money go?

Outgoings: The server costs £390 per month. Forum software purchases/licenses/misc comes to around £500 a year. So currently, the cost of SC is about £5k a year.

Incomings: Advertising/Affiliates can sometimes cover the costs during the transfer window (January, July, August) but thats sometimes. The rest of the year that falls well short. Its difficult to give an exact figure because the numbers don't stay the same but i'd say £100 a month during the quiet months. Donations during the quiet months come to about £50pm if we're lucky.

Rob will know better than I do, but I reckon we're short by about £2500 a year.

If one month we raise more than is needed, it stays in the pot as it won't be long before it IS needed. The shortfall is made up out of Robs pocket. I'll repeat that.......It comes out of his pocket. Think about that for a minute. I reckon he pays an average of £50 a WEEK so that you can chat about Spurs.

This is why i'm often cajoling, nudging, outright begging and open to bribery during the transfer window. It's when the most of you are about and our last big donation drive raised enough to cover costs for a couple of months or so.

Any excess raised stays in the pot until its needed when donations/income goes right down. Absolutely nothing goes on anything other than SC's running costs.

January's donations ran out a couple of months ago! SC IS SKINT!

So, if you'd like to donate, there's a donation link on the front or home page of the site. We use Paypal but you don't need an account with them, you can use your card in the same way as making any other online purchase. If you want to send a postal order/cheque, please PM myself or Rob.

All donations are very much appreciated. Thanks.

Right, that's your lot.

Interesting ITK from Atlanta Yid.

Unfortunately my recollections of Benitez time at Chelski are that he was widely disliked by the fans from day one due to an association with a former rival. This was compounded by his handling of the press, perceived arrogance and drab playing style. Rafa-out banners and chants littered most games despite the fact that results were pretty good and they won silverware in the UEFA cup.

My worry is that the interTim experiment proved that getting the fans on board and saying the right things in the media can be just as important as results.

Benitez has won CL, Europa league, La Liga, FA Cup

Pochettino has never managed a team in a European competition or won any silverware

It really should be a no brainer

Team Levy FTW

Atlanta did great with his info about joe putting money in last year (even though it was only to clear debt).

.

Is that the 'ITK' in question?

Atlanta Yid has proven he's got good links to Lewis. Interesting to see who will win out, or if FDB can change anyone's mind.

'Mattf' on COYS...

Someone I know has told me Pochettino is pretty much in the bag. People he knows have bet large amounts on it. Not the same person who gave me the Sherwood information. No idea if it is accurate or not to be honest, (but) he seems pretty convinced.

He does, he said something about a £50 million investment from Lewis on players but the money ended up going on the new stadium (ENIC gave a £50million interest free loan If I'm not mistaken) so he does have some good info regarding Lewis.

I think you're being unfair on him there. Chelsea fans were going to continue to wave their little hand-made A4 'Rafa out' signs however he did with them because he had the temerity to criticise their appalling dive of a club in approximately 1602 or something.

Whilst he was there he instilled order and organisation that Di Matteo hadn't bothered with, managed to keep them quite decent to watch (more so than now!) and behaved with dignity considering the baying mob that were the home fans and our media. I think his reputation rightly sky-rocketed after that interim appointment.

And his reward was the Napoli job - they're bloody fantastic to watch.

TL, DR: Chelsea fans are shits, Rafa is a misunderstood bloody hero.
