The point of an agent is to represent your interests and shield you from any time wasters. So unless Spurs come up with something that Barnett deems worthy of Bale’s attention, it his job not to involve his client.

I suppose let’s be glad we might be getting players but this sound very Levy, penny wise, pound foolish.

Maybe I was naive to think getting Mourinho in means the cheque book opens big time but I do worry if we get average players how long someone like Mourinho will be happy before throwing his toys out the pram and we all know where that ends.

Unless of course we hit big targets with relatively low money, in that case well done Levy.

Even if Levy gave up on 4th, he's not daft enough to not understand that by addressing areas of need it improves our ability to possibly get past RB Leipzig and receive even more cash from Champions League. Levy is not tunnel-visioned enough to see the league as our only source of more revenue, should we improve our form/results.

It’s not just that, if we are looking at signings but not ‘big’ signings does this mean we’re not getting main targets? This would surely result in the usual issue of offloading them in future windows in order to get our first choice’s in?!
