Interesting article about Can

Sounds more like a Sissoko replacement, but I don't understand why we'd spend 30M on him given other more pressing needs

FTA: "The second is that he already struggles with some of the technical aspects of defending in midfield"

Miraculously, he's only 26 (!)

?

Bild now reporting we're in for can. His wages going to be a big problem IMO

Juventus, Sarri specifically because Can played a big role at the club last season, really seem to want him fucked off. Also it seems that he got a 14m sign on fee, but is only get 4m a year in wages which we can definitely handle. Have a link but can’t post in here

Also, if Dortmund were in for him previously I think the wages should be fine. We have more spending power than than them.

:woot::woot: My word, I’ve missed a lot today.

The Moulin Rouge cryptic certainly would make sense as being Emre Can. Not a particularly glamorous player but also fits the mould of what we probably need right now.

Gedson, Can, Bergwijn + <insert name of striker> certainly wouldn’t be a terrible transfer window, especially for January. Exciting times.

While you're probably right re wages Dortmund agree to clauses that we would never agree with so they can be used to get around wages.

If it is 4m though that's well within reach so comes down to fee then and who else is in for him. Juve need cash so if there isn't an auction then levy could strike a deal

Out of interest why do they want rid of him if he played a big role last season?

I think the main thing is Sarri replacing Allegri in as well as the fact that they brought Ramsey and Rabiot in on Bosmans. Last season Can, Pjanic, Betancur, and Matudi played all around the same amount minutes rotating as Juve’s middle three.

This season they have an insane amount of CMs with Ramsey and Rabiot coming in and Khedira back from injury. Sarri didn’t take a liking to Can since the beginning and he’s quite stubborn as seen at Chelsea last season.

Can would be a great buy, appreciate the ITK / Goat on this ... PS ... Eriksen out the door now, he wears '23' , Can wore '23' for scouse and wears '23' for Juve

dragon1: We are trying for a couple of players before friday one being a striker there are two main options on that front the Sociedad Lad being one
There will not be any big money signings levy thinks fourth has gone

there is always a chance that whoever has passed this news has put his own feelings behind it.

they are gutted Levy won't do what they feel is needed and used the words to make him look worse.

I mean how many big signings are usually signed in January, and if the club are going to buy a striker and make GLC permanent then our budget for this season has gone, especially after recent costs of Poch + staff and new staff
