I pray we manage to get this over the line. The ridiculous links aside this window, OG would have been my preference. He's got many of the attributes Jose wants, knows the Premier league, will not cost a fortune, will not demand a game every week after Lane returns. He's a very sensible option to fill a Lane size hole without spending money on a panic buy who will undoubtedly dissapoint.

id take raging herpes over benteke. giroud may be a complete nonce but at least he scores regularly

This Lane guy any good?
We do. I’d rather give Parrott a chance. And if not, we played without a striker when Kane has been out before with great success. It requires some tactical flexibility from Jose but remember spring 2018? We scored a against Bournemouth in an hour, 3 against Swansea in the cup and 3 in an hour away at Chelsea, no our and out striker in sight
and my choice would be to keep giving them minutes rather than giving any to Benteke. I don’t have to agree with Jose either - he’s not exactly well known for being aggressive with kids

what makes you think Parrot is ready?
Exactly, and with Bergwijn joining there is even more pace and potential for goals from a front 3 formation. I'd far,far rather see what our manager can do tactically to get our team scoring more goals (which tbf we did see a glimpse of at Southampton), with quick,direct play from tricky,clever players, rather than bring some lump in and see Alderweild bang umpteen long balls in the hope one or two might create a chance. I'm no stats man but i'd bet we'd create more chances playing through midfield with Lo Celso feeding Son,Bergwijn,Dele,Lamela and Moura, than by humping it long for 90 mins to a semi competent front man.
What makes you think he isn’t? Anyway, as already explained, even if Parrott isn’t ready I don’t want Benteke
