Summer interest in O’Neil, Eze, Bowen among others. Jan interest in Ferg and MA. Our transfer strategy is evidently *in part* driven by recruiting the best homegrown young talent. This for me is what our club is all about (along with a successful academy of course) and I’m all for it. Also shows that we have an eye on the future so hopefully we have learnt from our mistakes (standing still and allowing our squad to decline).

Thanks for the info. Interest is all well and good, but if we were serious on these players, and really wanted them, then we’d do what we did with Dele. Buy them now and loan them back to their clubs. (I think O’Neil would be a mistake btw, runs down too many blind alleys).

None of this news is positive is it, it's just the same mistakes being repeated.

Can't see Norwich selling Aarons unless they are essentially conceding relegation. They can get a big price in the summer as well, so may as well try to luck/fight their way out of it and only sell assets if unsuccessful.

Very good to hear we are looking for a priority position though, and that the targets are realistic from a price/wage/competition standpoint even if clubs are not incentivized to sell in January.

Norwich is a different club than Watford, Villa or Bournemouth. They know they'll probably get relegated. It's all about developing talent while also maintaining position of a 18-26th club in England. That 100 mil from playing in the Prem will be put into scouting and academy.

They've spent 4 mil in the summer transfer window.
