I may be wrong and this ITK might not be on the money either, but doesn't everyone think it's odd that this year our transfer dealings have been unusual:

I believe we may already be reinvesting. And with the class signings you desire.​

We have already added a striker who scored 34 goals and assisted 6 last season, and an attacking wide player who scored 19 from 27 starts last season. A quality Brazilian box to box who scored 8 and assisted 3 and a very promising French CM.​

There's about 60m there. And improvements in more than one area and easily replaced Bale's best season output.​

A suspicious mind might think we know Bale is gone and have said to RM let us do our business first otherwise we'll be hit hard on every move we make knowing we have their money to burn.​

If uncle Joe has put some money in the pot maybe it's merely an advance on what he knows is coming back in for Bale very soon ?​

Still all very 2 + 2 = 4 ... Fits together nicely but I'd be surprised if DL and JL were naive enough to drop 60 on the basis they're expecting 80+ mill 100% done and dusted from a bunch of cowboys at RM... Certainly not DLs style.

If Lennon and Dawson weren't English they'd be nowhere near our team. Lennon is a player we've been expecting to improve for what feels like 20 years now, whereas if Dawson wasn't such a wholehearted bloke would be in the championship if we're really honest.

I can conclude after so much ITK and much thought that it will definitely be one of the above.

My onions on the Bale / Club radio silence is that why comment. We literally couldn't have bought this amount of press coverage.

Stoof said something earlier about the only thing we know for certain is that the speculation is about Bale moving to Madrid, know precisely zero other facts. Imagine FSW listing the facts we know at a press conference. One sentence and finished!

Ive read many times "No player is bigger than the club". Very true, but this isn't a Suarez / Modric / Berbatov situation, not yet anyway. Only our perception of what is happening is changing as the articles / ITK / Sky Sports updates keep coming in. Yet if you put together what has been said by both clubs and the player would point to Bale not going anywhere this summer.

You sound like a guy who is standing on a railway track,the crowd standing on the platform warn you that there is a train coming round the bend but you keep checking the timetable and answering..BUT the company says there is no trains due at this time.

The crowd asks.. can't you hear the whistle? can't you feel the ground trembling? can't you see the lights?

You reply.......BUT the timetable states that there are no trains due at this time.

Nor is spending 26m on a 28yo. What - and this is a big what if - a deal had already been agreed. Notice we haven't pursued any other LB's ?

I'm not saying this with any massive conviction, but I find it more plausible than the whole "all the stars have aligned and after 11 years Joe Lewis has suddenly decided he wants to win the league" stuff.

Bale is being protected from injury. Why, if we want to keep him, would we be worried about him getting injured ?

I agree BC, but I thought you were of the opinion that we wouldn't do too much more business if we sold Bale now ie we had done our reinvesting in the main??
